Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Gaia heads back to her chambers, a few of the workers starting to tire.

"...So, in subduing her caretaker, you released an instinctual apex predator out into the wilderness?" Ihra asks, confused.

"FOR LEON!" One group shouts, the other pouring out of the gate.

"Hey, king. You still got that crown?"

"Perhaps this ritual may allow you to shed some light on the subject."

Yeah, I think it was Mark too. Weird fish-man-thing.

Anne sits down, waiting for your response.

 

I tap on Voidfiller, and we start a whispering conversation, before he disappears into a portal and I start helping with the stone.

 

"Well.. he's the water Guardian. You know, that makes Mark sound even more out of place."

 

"We didn't intend to." The guard says, embarassed.

 

"...I guess the better question is, is there anything out there that might kill her?"

Why can't a giant sea serpent have a common name? Would you rather go see someone called The Leviathan or someone named Mark?

The workers give you odd looks, though they're starting to get somewhere with the repairs - you can't see through the door anymore.

 

"Technically, yes." The guard says.

 

“Had, I had to hide it somewhere to get into the city without suspicion.”

 

I don’t seem to mind, continuing to help.

Soon enough, another portal appears where Voidfiller left, which starts spitting out large clumps out a light-green goop, which land next to the portal.

 

"Well.. I don't mind both of them, Leviathan sounds cool and Mark sounds.. normal." He thinks.

 

"...What is it, and where's the closest gate out of the city?" Ihra asks.

Either way... you're holding up your ladyfriend.

A few workers try moving it by hand and get a bit stuck to it, soon moving it with vines to paste and run between the bits of stone and plants.

"...And where would that somewhere be?"

 

I soon come over to help with the goop as Crystal continues working on the stone and vines.
As the goop continues to spray, Voidfiller comes out of the portal to protect some of the workers from the flying goop. Whoever's throwing it through the portal clearly doesn't have the best aim...

 

"I dropped it into my chest. It's gone for now. I might be able to get it back."

 

"I know. I'm working on it." He thinks.
He looks at Anne, smiling.
"So, now that I did what I wanted to do, is there anything you want to do?"

 

A few faeries get stuck in the goop, but a few vines gets them out without too much trouble.
"Could you be a little more careful?!" A dryad shouts, annoyed.

"We could find a nice place to say our vows." She suggests.

"You... what?"

 

"Yeah, there are plenty of places on this Island that could work."

 

"Yeah, don't worry."
Voidfiller says, spying a metal cart, quickly flying over to get it, and shoving it and himself into the portal.
A few seconds later, the flying goop stops, and Voidfiller comes back with a cart full of goop.
"Sorry about that one, didn't expect him to be so inaccurate."
He flips the cart, dumping the goop into a pile before going back in to supposedly get more.

 

"I know a few. We could spend the night in my forest and then I could take you to some of my favorite spots."

The dryad shoots Voidfiller a glare before going back to work.


Fifteen minutes later, Gaia comes back out.
"Is the door at least mostly repaired? They should be back soon..."

 

"Sounds good. I'm excited."

 

"Depends on your vision of repaired."
I say, as Voidfiller pushes the cart back into the portal without him, closing it.

 

I reveal my face.

"I came back from the stars, to reclaim my kingdom for the better of my people."
