Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

I turn back towards the hut to see what's tugging me.

 

"Take the coin. I have no need for money."

"If you can summon stone, yes."

You've now got two unconscious guards laying outside the doorway.
Oddly enough, no more reinforcements seem to be coming.

A flower grows near you, but nothing else out of the norm happens.

There's some sort of string hanging from the door. It's stretching out in your direction.

 

"Grab as much as possible, and drop it off in a nearby alley, we need to move quickly, people! Go go go!"

 

"We've got an hour." N shouts at you.

 

"You think they'll wait an hour to send more troops?"

 

Voidfiller thinks for a few moments.
“Let me check how much I've got.”
He dips his head in a portal for a few seconds, before emerging once again, checking the size of the door.

 

My meditation continues

However, the draconians in my vision still try my focus

I resist the urge to break calm and continue to meditate

 

I open the door and investigate the string.

 

"No, that's how long it'll take them to get around the gas. Come on, get out there and get the people up. We take your castle back, and we've got a foothold against the damn tyrant."

The string shortens, seeming to connect to you... even though it doesn't seem to be touching.

The person inside yawns, beginning to wake up.

It doesn't take long for something else to break your meditation...

"Aradius!"
You can't tell who it is, mostly because you weren't focused on the voice.

It's the size of Xlentia's entry doors.

 

"Get the people up where?"

 

I make myself invisible. (or just make them not see me)

 

"Jeez. Guess I used to much power." He chuckles.

 

"Up, as in awake."

"Well, arrows are easier to get. I'm sure that inanimate object won't mind having an arrow stuck in it."

It winds up being a young girl, rubbing her eyes and looking right at you despite your guise.

 

"I hope not. I'm sorry if it does." He smiles.

 

Peridot eventually senses Kia slowly re-enter the colloseum, looking around for the money.

 

“Uhh...”
“Let me see.”
I offer, tapping on Voidfiller, who lets me see through the portal. It’s only a few seconds before I pop my head out again, looking at the door.
“It’s enough for a few layers around the entire door, or if you want it packed at the base it’d be thicker and possibly more effective.”
I say, looking towards Gaia.

 

"How would I do that?"

 

Disgruntled, I break the trance and stand up

"Yes? Who is it?"

 

I stand perfectly still.

 

He leaves her be.
"...Just be careful who you taunt."

After a moment, she sits up and yawns before squinting at you.

"Your knocking signal. Or stop whispering. Both will probably work."

"Your call. If it can withstand another few artillery volleys, then do it. If you're not sure, go light so you don't waste all of your materials on what might be a lost cause."

Anne laughs.
"Well... the more important question is, do you like it?"
