Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Hey honey. What you doing sitting out here?"

 

Peridot leaves it be.

A bed, a staff, and that's about it.

It punches through easily.
"...I, uh, didn't mean now."
Pause.
"Screw it, go!" N shouts, rushing in.

 

The bird eventually flies away as Peridot senses a few sentient beings enter the colloseum.

 

"Waiting for you. I was told you were in town, so I waited for you."

Peridot stops idling, turning towards them.

 

It appears to be a couple of faeries, one of them with a dark aura leading a much more nervous one into the colloseum.

 

"Ah, that's sweet of you. I got my weapons repaired and bought a new bow."
He shows her the flatbow.

 

Peridot waits, cloaking.

"It looks nice. How else should we kill time?"

 

I'll pass. I've got a scythe and I rather sleep in the tree limbs.

 

As Wesley leaves, I open and read the letter

 

"I-I'm not so sure about this. I-Isn't this where people died?" The nervous faerie asks. She appears to have blond hair with a light blue scarf hanging from her neck, as well as a simple orange t-shirt and blue jeans, faerie-sized to fit her.

"What? You scared of a little death? This place is practically a gold mine for hidden treasure! Who knows what those clueless Shadows and Guardians have dropped here." The dark faerie says, confident. Her hair appears to be black with a streak of red on one side, matching her red eyes. The faerie's clothing appears to be mostly black with some silver zips and chains, a metal skull hanging around her neck.

"B-B-But, what if there are still p-people here who want to f-fight us?" The nervous faerie asks, scared.

"Oh please, this place has been abandoned for ages." The dark faerie says.

 

As you turn to leave, you feel a slight tug bringing you towards the hut.

It's in a different language, then writing you can understand.
"Seer,
I don't know who or where you are or live, but I need to reach out to you soon. I am the last in a prophetic bloodline. I wish to bestow somebody with my equipment before I die, and if you are receiving this message, then you are the first I have found capable of using my things.

If you can trace magic, please attempt to trace the origin of this letter.

Peridot waits, mildly amused.

 

I rush in with my mace held protectively in front of me.

"Where is the equipment?"

 

The dark faerie starts scouting around the main arena while the nervous one starts looking around the seats, the dark faerie, unaware of Peridot, drawing closer.

 

"Everywhere!"

"GET THE-"
N's accuracy with throwing daggers proves to be absurd, sticking a blade in the throat of the four nearby guards.


There's literally swords, axes, lances, and shields everywhere. Try not to damage too many while you bash the brains out of six other guards running at you.

Peridot, without revealing himself, puts the dark faerie in a stasis bubble.

 

"I was thinking of trying out my new bow, you know, get to know it a bit better."

 

The nervous faerie doesn't appear to notice her friend getting trapped, still looking around the seats.

 

I hold my breath. Tracing magic is a taxing effort, and I can't do it very well.

I decide to head down to the court wizard to see if he can help

 

I combat slide under them and try to trip them.

"Strike them!"

 

Peridot reveals himself only to the dark faerie.

"Yeah, forest is a good place. Just, like, don't shoot anything that moves."

 

The dark faerie glares at Peridot.

"Let me go!" The dark faerie demands.

"Kia, I think I found a good coin!" The nervous faerie shouts, flying up from the chairs holding a round gold coin with '10' engraved on it, amongst other things.
