Erevan suddenly awakens from some kind of mini-trance.

Erevan: "I'm here too. By the way, the riddle was underneath a paper that mentioned a stone key... we thought that might also refer to 'what's lost'."

 

Ti'Lin:"You mean we should look for the stone key?

 

Heat: “I think I’m the closest thing to that for now.”

 

Erevan: "Perhaps. Perhaps not. I was hoping you would have ideas on what to do."

"There are seven ruined windmills surrounding the town. We think they have some connection to the riddle. Can you help us search them?"

 

Ti'Lin:"My idea was to investigate the ruins, in groups to make it quicker."

 

Erevan: "That would be a great plan if you weren't the only one of us with any formal skill at investigation and puzzle-solving."

 

Ti'Lin:"Well, the ruins aren't that big. I say we split up, take a look around and come back if we find anything of interest."

 

Erevan: "I respectfully disagree."

 

Ti'Lin:"Want me to explore all of them myself?"

 

Erevan: "Not exactly. But I want to approach each ruin methodically,, make sure no detail is overlooked."

 

Ti'Lin:"Sure, I can do that. Then we don't need everyone." He smiles.

@SPYROHAWK Is it okay if I exchange my Mending cantrip for Hand of Radiance? At the time I selected it, I didn't know about the new UA spells.

 

Heat: "If I am no longer required, then I will take my leave..

The poison part requires a CON save, which the ball of light passed. Sorry.

But, do not fear!

1) On a NAT 20, you roll 2 damage dice. So if your damage was like 1d8, you roll 2d8. So, roll another d8 of damage.

2) If it was not a floating ball of light, I'm going to start making crits do injuries to make combat more interesting. Nothing here, since it does not have a body, but keep that in mind for the future.
