Artemis doesn't appear to notice, heading into the palace as Bea chases after Amethyst.

 

N nods.
"...Again, stay here. I'll be back to bring you to the meet under the cover of night."

Amethyst keeps running after Artemis, trying to get in front of her.

 

I wait until N returns.

 

Amethyst manages to catch up to Artemis, but so does Bea, grabbing Amethyst by the arm.

"What do you think you're doing?" Amethyst feels.

 

Hours later, someone knocks on the door.
"Anyone in there?" A guard barks.

"She destroyed my home"

 

"What?" Amethyst feels.

 

"She destroyed my home"

 

"She did?" Amethyst feels.

 

N isn’t here, right? If he isn’t:
“Yes! What is it that you require?”

 

"I had a home in the underworld
She destroyed it for some artifact"

Correct.
"We're hoping to talk to the stranger who came in this morning. Is he here?"

 

“He left a while ago, said he was only staying for a drink.”

 

"If you find him, let us know."
They move on.

 

Amethyst can feel Bea getting into a position like she's ready to fire something.

 

I continue waiting.

 

Amethyst knocks her tail on the ground, confused.

Finally, N sneaks back in.
"...Okay, you didn't talk to the guards, did you?"

 

"Yes?" Amethyst feels, Bea's stance changing slightly.

 

"What are you doing"

 

“I told them that ‘the stranger’ left a while ago, that they only stayed for a drink.”

 

"Good. You ready to work with the same people you worked so hard to imprison?"

 

"Shooting her to teach her a lesson about destroying homes." Amethyst feels, pressure in Bea's writing indicating anger.
