"Scaled creatures' conflicts will not stop me from ruling my kingdom. Farewell, mistress. I hope to see you again."

 

"Perhaps I will grace your people with my presence as a reward if you hold true to your word. Farewell, Leon... do not make me regret giving you these gifts."

Your sight goes all the way dark, and soon you feel as if you're falling. Then, impact.

Dazed, you find yourself human sized once again, looking up at a burning tree. Your old cloak is nearby, as is your mace.

 

I find and equip my cloak.

Just as a side-note: I thought Leon would keep his "ethereal voice" (a booming voice) when he became human again. Would this be possible?

I pick up my mace, and inspect it.

 

"I feel the same, friends. We must stay vigilant. We will come out of this alive. May Phykrah treat you kindly."

I return to Nemmek

 

"You as well."
"May our gods ever give us their blessing."

Nemmek waits intently, shifting a bit.

OOC: You can keep it, it's just not permanent.


It seems to be made of stardust. It pushes into the ground due to its weight, but you have no problems lifting it.

 

I look around for the nearest point of interest.

 

The nearest point of interest seems to be coming to you - a few curious citizens.

Not only that, your old crown sits on the edge of the crater you left...

 

I walk to the crown and place it upon my helmet firmly.

 

He goes towards the stairs and walks down.

 

One of the citizens runs off and the others, hold one, stop and stare in awe.

One dares approach you, until they're close enough to see what you really are.
"...Are you...?" They ask, confused.

The basement is dimly lit, but bows of several sorts (short, compound) are hung near crossbows.
There's even a ballista off to the side.

 

"Yes. I am."

OOC: *cue epic opening*

 

Their eyes widen.
"...You really didn't give up on us?" They mumble, taking a step back.

Your booming voice may be a bit of a downside. You aren't technically king to the nearby armies... fortunately, it doesn't seem to have warranted any military attention. Yet.

 

“I have answered your prayers. I have returned and I will overthrow the tyrant king. Lead me to the city. I have a throne to reclaim.”

 

"I, uh... about that... if you don't mind, lowering your voice might help you keep a low profile. I'm sure anyone would let you stay in their home, but if he became aware of your return, he would punish us all gravely." They say nervously, glancing around.
