Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"I am valued." Eve says, shrugging.

 

Mounting Nemmek, I make sure the winds aren't too strong in the direction I'm heading, and then set off to meet the elder.

 

"Yeah, but that's like cooping Stephanie up over unreasonable expectations. I still don't understand why."

 

"Sometimes you don't need to." Eve states.

 

The gentle breeze hardly moves blades of grass, and within moments, you're heading off full-speed towards the northern forest.

The path quickly turns rough once you get deeper into the forest, but everything seems peaceful.
Nemmek slows gradually, seeming a bit put off.

Ruby nods.
"I wouldn't tell Emerald that." She smiles.
"...Well, that's it from me. I was just curious."

 

The route to the elder seems longer then usual today

I make a note to rest more after stronger visions, and continue trotting through the forest

 

"May I request something before I leave, then?" Eve asks.

 

Ruby nods.
"I'm not really in a good position to say no, anyways."

Journal. You forgot your journal.
You'll just have to remember to take note of it once you get back.

After what seems like an extra ten minutes of riding, you arrive at the Galer village.
You can see two other elves outside along with a harpy. The village seems quieter than usual, though it may just be due to the fact that the local bard passed away between now and the last time you came here.

 

"I'm looking for some nice weapons and equipment." He smiles.

 

"A hug." Eve says.

 

"They're not free, but if you'd like to look around and get an idea of what you're looking for, go on inside."

Ruby hesitates before giving Abigail touch sensory and nodding.

 

"Hail, fellow Galers!" I call from Nemmek, as I dismount and approach.

I also make sure to lead with my staff, to make sure my status is known.

 

Eve hugs Ruby. She feels cold, and a little metallic and hard, though meaning is behind it.

"Thank you." Eve says, letting go of Ruby before heading to the library's exit.

 

They turn and look at you, the elves nodding and the harpy waving.
"Hey, Aradius!" The harpy, Lara, calls back. "How's things over in the castle?"

If Lara's out, then that usually means the elder is off somewhere else.

She nods, keeping silent.

"...I don't really know how to react to that." Ruby thinks.

 

"I know and I will. Thank you."
He heads inside the armory.

 

"I don't remember her, but she seems nice." Abigail says.

Artemis and I step through a portal into the void palace library, Eve waving from the exit as the pair of us walk over to her.

 

"Hello, Lara. Things are going very well. How is the elder these days?"

 

"Oh, he's stressed as usual. The kingdoms aren't really interested in trade and diplomacy, which means that war's closer than ever."

Ruby waves back, withholding her thoughts from Abigail.

Lances, shortswords, broadswords, throwing axes, greataxes, javelins... pretty much anything you could fight with is here. Even chakrams, though you've never seen anyone actually use them.

 

Artemis, Eve and I head to Xlentia's chamber.

 

"Wow... this looks AWESOME!"
