Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Cool. Thank you, sir."
He heads out the shop and searches for a bake shop that's near the corner of a street.

 

"I could bring your banisher to you, and then you could apologize to them." Eve suggests.

 

You find a familiar bake shop.

"I will not apologize to her. I will gladly apologize to him, if you bring him to me."

 

"You cannot be unbanished by the king, only by the queen. She is not one to turn quickly on such decisions." Eve says.

 

Peridot pauses.
"...I will speak to her, but unless she can explain her reasoning and I deem it sufficient, I will not apologize."

 

"Very well, I shall bring her here." Eve says, opening a portal to the realm of shadows.

 

Peridot waits, stoic and slightly shifting.

 

A while later, Eve returns with Shadow Stephanie in her royal attire.

 

"This must be it."
He looks to the left.
"The blacksmith was in the street on the left of it, right?"
He heads down the left street.

 

Peridot stares at her.
"...Well, shall we begin? I'm not fond of making contracts wait."

Straight ahead at the end of the road.

Hey, we made it back. You think he really won't charge you anything?

 

"Contracts? You're not killing or hiring anyone here, rustbucket." Shadow Stephanie says bluntly.

 

"I hope not. Don't have any money on me." He thinks.

 

"Not here, no. If you can't be bothered having a conversation, though, I may as well take a shot while I'm here."

We'll find out soon.

The door's locked, but your axe is sitting off to the side with a tag that reads "Wolf"

 

"I dare you to." Shadow Stephanie says, narrowing her eyes.

 

He knocks on the door.
"Hello?"

 

"...Do you want to explain why you banished me, or not?" Peridot asks, shifting idly as he pulls up and tinkers with a holographic GUI.

No response.

The axe is yours. Just take it and go.

 

"Because you made yourself a threat that could not be neutralized without excessive loss of resources." Shadow Stephanie says flatly.

 

"I wanted to apologize to him for belittling his efforts. However, I do not understand how I was a threat to you." He says, glancing at Eve between GUI commands.

 

"You said you would attack and aim to kill one of us." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

"I was exaggerating. Such statements are usually required to have another being speak with me. I wanted his life for lying to me, then deduced that he could not have done much better than he had. Thus, I want to apologize to him."
Pause.
"I also would like to lift the banishment because in doing so you had broken a promise I made - something I don't take lightly."
