Drakes 1 and 2 were distracted more by the food that Yevor gave to them than the bird x)

 

I'm not gonna go to the next part of your travels until this part is concluded, I want to see how it goes

 

They finished it then turned to Althaios.

 

Alas : *Show him the paper.*

The text on the paper :

"I, ____, accept the deal of Eres in exchange of the dragon scales armor.
He will have the possibility to choose whatever he wants and whenever he wants from me for one time only."

Alas : *Give him the pen.*

"Just write your name and put a signature, it's just to be sure that you will not trick me, you can analyze the paper if you want, I know you don't trust me, so take your time before writing."

Kyelas: "I think we should add, 'As long as the item was not in my possession prior to this deal being signed, or if it is the dragon scale armor listed in these terms."

 

Heat: “If we ever make it out of this chaos alive, you’d make good money as a lawyer.”

 

Alas : *Add the line.*
*Add this line too :
"If I don't respect this deal, Eres will have the authorization to make my life a nightmare."*

Alas : "Just to be sure you will not try to trick me."

 

Kyelas: "Fine. Actually, add the line, 'Eres may only choose one item.' Just to make sure you don't take 50 things from me. I still don't fully trust you, after all."

If he adds it, I'll sign.

 

Alas : "I already wrote 'One time only', but if you want me to add that, it will not cost my life."
*Add the line*

 

Kyelas: "Good. I don't want any loopholing."

I sign.

Kyelas: "Now, hand over the armor."

 

*Put back the paper, the pen and the ink in his bag.*
*Take out the armor and give it to Kyelas.*
"It was a pleasure to deal with you !"

K, so as you travel, EVENTUALLY the desert gives way to a dead forest. The trees are all leafless and droopy, and the grass itself seems a bit grey. The road continues into the woods.

How late in the day is it?

 

Past midday, but not by very much. Maybe 1/3 between mid-day and sundown? Not even?

 

That's plenty of time to continue to the next town.
