Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

The Shadows appear to be losing, another one getting killed as it tries to slice off some of the tentacles.

Crystal can hear the sound of metallic feet nearby.

 

Crystal turns towards the sound, expecting the armored Shadow.

 

The sound appears to be that of a familiar looking robot, wearing a black shirt with a yellow thunderbolt and dark blue jeans. The robot waves at Crystal, smiling lightly as she passes.

 

Crystal waves back, smiling.

 

The robot heads toward the beast the Shadows are fighting, easily killing it with one shot, the beast exploding in the process before she flies back to the palace, jets firing from her feet. The remaining Shadows look exhausted and traumatized.

 

Crystal, not surprised, looks for the armored Shadow.

 

The armoured Shadow appears to be talking to a few other Shadows, who seem to be getting ready for a battle.

 

Crystal trots back over to the wall to the garden, hopping over and laying down in the grass.

 

Nobody disturbs Crystal, making the grassy forest quite serene.

 

Crystal eventually peeks over the wall, looking for the group that went with the armored Shadow.

 

Crystal can't see them, nor the armoured Shadow.

 

Crystal lays down once more, playing around with shifting a bit.

 

He uses vines to put you on his back and then starts walking around.

"They're actually doing that? Do you know where I can find that?" Alice asks, interest piqued.

Ruby sighs.
"Do your cabinets have anything other than tea?"
"...No."

 

"Don't expect it to last. The shops run by death guardians used to harvest blood stay open for a lot longer because people leave them eventually after going in." Vexa says, rolling her eyes.

 

"I meant the tea." Alice groans.
"You should probably go see if your king recovered." Ruby says, trying to end the conversation.
"I'm thinking of speaking with his robot. He'll be fine, knowing him."

 

"Shouldn't a Shadow be loyal to her royalty?" Vexa asks, raising an eyebrow.

 

"Hey, I served my king and I still care about him. I can't see Lady Tenebrae letting him die, which means he'll be fine. Besides, if he wanted me, he'd contact me."
Pause.
"...I like the queen more anyways."

 

"How do you know he hasn't been trying to contact you already?" Vexa asks.

 

"Telepathy. Besides, he's not too fond of me, so I doubt he'd call me out of retirement. Like, unless things got really bad, since he knows we're not exactly on great terms."

"...She quit her job after she got access to classified information." Ruby sighs.
"Yeah, but we stopped doing work for good people, so they can take their loopholes and shove it up their ass." Alice growls.

 

"Tch, Shadows." Vexa says, shaking her head.
