Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"I can put it up for sale immediately if you'd like." Vexa says.

 

"I'd like to find someone who's actually capable of using it to the fullest, though it would need some advertisement."

 

"I'll see what I can do about that." Vexa says.

 

"Thanks. Should I hold on to it, or let you put it somewhere?"

 

"You're free to hold onto it if you want to." Vexa says.

 

Ruby nods.
"I'll keep tabs on it. Worst case scenario, I show someone how brutal warfare can be at home."

 

Vexa laughs a bit.

 

"I'm sorry for making you tired. Come here. I'll cuddle with you."
He spreads his arms.

 

"This has the same cutting power as the sword, but it acts like a boomerang and can be brought down upon a foe with the speed and force of lightning. Such vile weapons are rather common at this point." Ruby sighs.

He steps closer and hugs you with one wing, laying down.

 

"Doesn't that saturate the idea of power then?" Vexa asks.

 

"Not really. It's not like all of these weapons are all in one place, and there aren't really too many. Maybe three dozen? It only bothers me since they're on both sides and I'm the smith of all but four."

 

"Well, wouldn't that cause both sides to be equally matched?" Vexa asks.

 

"That's what makes it so vile. You have a mind controller with two high gods under his command fighting against two others. Extinctions went from disasters to old news. If the high gods are evenly matched, then you need power in mortal hands to tip the scales. Of course, the introduction of heroes of this reality are another variable..." Ruby contemplates.

"...Sister, don't you think you should leave the intel to me?" Another voice asks.
"I would prefer to know for myself." Ruby responds.

 

Vexa, suspicious, gathers up a large amount of dust and sprays it outwards, trying to reveal anyone invisible.

 

It collects on a shadow in the form of a draconian, who wipes it off of their parasol.
"Pardon me, there was another... incident. I am Ruby's sister Tourmaline, though most just call me Alice." Alice says, offering Vexa a handshake.

"You forget that shadows are kind of hated..." Ruby sighs.
"Oh, I can't do anything about that hold making a good first impression, no?"

 

Tickle Tickle.
"I kinda wish you were here with us."

 

"I didn't know Shadows could have familial relationships with non-Shadows," Vexa says, accepting the handshake, "And Shadows are not hated. We stand on neutral grounds."

 

He giggles, squirming.

"I was given mercy by Lady Tenebrae after living in the Realm of Shadows for years. I wanted to move to a less bloody and more scenic place, so I came here to retire. Four mage goes a really long way when you don't need to eat." Alice shrugs.

 

He continues tickling.
"Do you miss Ragnyon sometimes?"

 

"I assume you earned that through the blood?" Vexa asks.
