Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Yes. And have you visited the dragons in the forest yet?"

 

"To be honest, no. I haven't gotten there yet. There's a goddess who's a bit out of sorts that I had to do my best to entertain."

 

"I see. That's fine."
Pause.
"So.. the owner?"

 

"Oh, yes. Sgavrinn is owned by a girl named Artemis who hails from an alternate reality. Somehow, the two got connected, and she and a few friends fight with my allies to try and push back a great evil." Ragnyon says. "If you are ready, there is a portal in the island forest. It's the only clearing that doesn't have foxes living in it, and it leads to the palace of a goddess nicknamed 'The Great Destroyer.' If you find the portal, go through and I will see to it that you meet Sgavrinn and Artemis."

 

"Wait.. Great Destroyer? Is it save for me to enter that place? And I still have a marriage coming. Anne will be pissed if I don't show up."
Pause.
"And there is also this Ziz that needs to stop with causing all the trouble."

 

"There's not much I can do about the second two problems, but the Great Destroyer won't harm you as long as you bow to her. She'll also probably give you a favor if you tell her that she's beautiful. Not passing out when she comes by makes her like you more." Ragnyon shrugs.

 

"I.. see? But I'll finish the wedding first. It doesn't matter if I go through the portal now or later, right?"

 

Crystal rises up on the golem, smacking the head of it with hammer hands.

 

"Correct. Take your time, but don't wait too long."

 

A few people walk by, though nobody Ruby recognizes.

Crystal manages to destroy the armour around the golem's head, though it's not defeated yet.

 

Crystal focuses all energy on smacking the golem’s head over and over again.

 

"Why?"
He looks confused at Ragnyon.

 

Ruby keeps waiting, hoping Vexa returns.

"There is something much larger than any of us going on... and I can tell you that if you wait long enough, the Great Destroyer might not still be alive... and I might not be, either."

 

"How much time do I have left?" He looks concerned.

 

"I don't know... but don't stress over it too much. It's our affair, not yours."

 

Crystal manages to destroy the golems head, though that doesn't seem to kill it as it gets back up.

Vexa returns an hour later, heading into the back to begin work.

 

"Yeah, that's what I thought. You made it seem like I was needed in all of this."

 

"...Did you take the blade off display?" Ruby asks, still looking outside.

"If you want to help us, then you may... just know, it affects everyone if we lose."

 

"Hm? Which blade?" Vexa asks.

 

Crystal shifts back to the legs, waiting for the golem to step again.
