Yeah, we continue our way to Milltown. Hoping we can find some shade.

Ok, so as you travel, the sun gets brighter and brighter. Eventually, the heat becomes almost unbearable.

Everyone takes 1 fire damage.

Alas, due his resistance lowering the damage to 0, is unaffected.

The people who had bad/no shoes (Ti Lin, Caligo, and Heat I think) take an extra 1 fire damage from the hot sand on their feet.

Spoiler: Heat

Since you take 2 fire damage, your badge gains 2 charges. Since it now holds charges, you can't unequip it.

 

Nobody like Heat. (jk)

 

Ti'Lin:"Okay. I'm getting real sick of this heat!"

 

Heat: "We must get out of the sun. I feel different. I am either growing in strength, falling ill, or both."

I take 2 fire damage instead of 1 because of my vulnerability to fire, correct? If so, that's great synergy with the Heartfire.

 

I edited everyone's health on the battle map

(Alfred died from that, but I'm assuming Alas re-summoned him. Kinte and Okami took 2 damage)

Someone roll a d20 to see if it's the end of the desert or another encounter. IDK how evil I want to be!

I'm using the same map b/c I'm lazy. I put your traveling party as I would expect it to be, with the tanks up front. Althaios is set to be flying 20 ft up, slightly ahead

I like this battle formation idea.

 

In front of you are three dragon-like creatures. They have scales of blue, almost polished looking. On each of their heads, they have a large central spike protruding from their noses. They are wingless and slightly larger than a wolf, and seem only slightly aggressive.

Would you like to re-roll initiative to stick to how you have it?

(Don't worry. After this, there's only one more time there MIGHT be an encounter before Milltown. And assuming yall don't roll another horrible number you should be fine.)

 

Can't we just ignore the dragons? Or are they determined to fight us?

@Not Not Florfy5 why am I at 24 hp? I was at 28 and already changed it to 26 do to fire damage.
Did someone mess up?

 

Since they are dragon-like, perhaps Kyelas could be able to encourage them to leave us alone?

 

We could always bribe them.

 

I fixed it, back to 26. I just assumed no one edited their map HP (I usually forgot to on my characters, only doing my character sheet). Also, that tag wont work yet (getting fixed soon I think).

As for fighting them, idk. But I will say, no 100% of the random encounters are meant to be fought.

 

The personalities in our party would rather die than give up their money.
