Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"I assume you're broke, so you could work a half shift for a room."
Pause.
"Sorry to interrupt your shower, by the way. I'm guessing you're still working out all of the mud."

 

"Don't worry. So what do you expect me to so during this half shift?"

 

"I'll figure something out."

 

The forest guardian leads Ruby out the back of the house, where Artemis appears to be training her accuracy with her bow against small moving wooden targets.

The armoured Shadow walks over to Crystal.

"What's the strongest thing you ever defeated on your own, soldier?" The armoured Shadow asks with a strong masculine voice.

 

Ruby seems nervous.
"...Uhm... e-excuse me?" She asks.
"Abigail, get ready to scorch an arrow or two..." She thinks.

 

Artemis turns, then glares at Ruby.

"Father, why did you let her in?" Artemis asks.

"She said she was a former enemy under mind control. I sensed no psychic influence over her, and I believe she has come to apologize and ask for help." Artemis' father says.

 

"Artemis, please forgive me... I know what I did to your group before, and I wish I could've not done it." Ruby confesses. "I also really need your help. I was framed, and you and your friends are my only shot at getting to live my own life."

 

“Actually killed? Uhh, a draconian, but it was by surprise, so I don’t really know if that counts towards the question...”
Crystal says, a bit intimidated.

 

Artemis looks toward her father.

"She's telling the truth." Artemis' father says.

"Who were you framed by?" Artemis asks.

"Just a simple draconian huh? Alright, we can start you off with something simple." The armoured Shadow says, walking toward the middle of the training area.

 

Crystal looks towards Shadow Stephanie before following the armored Shadow.

 

Shadow Stephanie gives a thumbs up.

The armoured Shadow stomps his foot once he reaches the middle of the training area, and some simple wooden golems rise from the ground.

"Here's your enemies soldier. Fight em off." The armoured Shadow says, teleporting a distance away as the wooden golems slowly advance on Crystal.

 

Crystal trots forwards and extends his arms, touching if not impaling the golems while lighting them on fire.

 

The golems burn away into ash quickly, but are soon replaced by stone ones.

 

"Emerald, when she was mind controlled."

Ruby looks towards Artemis.
"Look into my eyes, and tell me if you see Abigail."

 

Crystal visibly readies himself more, using earth magic to try and pop a golem’s head off.

 

"Okay, thank you."
He continues cleaning himself, continueing with his legs.

 

Finally, you hear a lump tossed near the door as you finish up.
"Your clothes and a towel are out here."

 

"Thank you. I'll be right with you once I'm done."
He waits for the man to leave and grabs the towel to dry himself.
Then he grabs his clothes and puts them on.
Once he's done he goes to the desk.

 

Artemis looks into Ruby's eyes, and her father looks her over, narrowing his eyes.

Crystal manages to remove a golem's head, but it keeps on moving.

 

He then rises the ground around the golems’ feet, encasing them in the ground while staying cautious.
