Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

The guard just shrugs.


Bea picks them up, before eventually taking her back to the palace after a few hours out.

 

Ruby sighs, trying to telepathically link to Shadow Stephanie.
"...Hello?"


"Did I scare anyone"

 

"Yeah?" Shadow Stephanie asks.


"Yes, you gave everyone quite the fright!" Bea says happily.

 

"Could you help me get to Katie and Artemis? They just ran out of the medical wing... I really need to talk to Katie in particular."


"Is that a good thing"

 

"I'm kind of busy, but considering the time, Artemis is probably back at her house. Don't know where Katie would be though." Shadow Stephanie says.


"Of course it is, you're meant to be scary." Bea says.

 

"Took the words right out of my mouth." He smiles an awkward smile.

 

“Well that’s silly. It was just one guy, wasn’t it?”

 

"Would Abigail know the coordinates to put into the portal?"


"Did we fill the bucket"

"Hold on, let me check on those."

The innkeeper heads to the back, a few shifting noises audible.

 

Bardock whistles a tune and taps his fingers on the desk while he waits.

 

"Well, he was the equivalent to Aj." Shadow Stephanie says.

"Probably." Shadow Stephanie says.


"Yes, can't you feel it? You can eat all the sweets you've gathered." Bea says.

 

"Cool, thanks."
Ruby heads to an elevator and looks for the book to find the combo for the portal room.

A minute later, he returns with a bar of soap.
"Go crazy. Showers to your left."

 

Ruby finds the page containing the dial combination from the table of contents.

 

"Thanks."
He takes the soap and heads to the showers.
"Which one is free?"

 

“No, I mean, the assassin.”

 

"Oh. Well yeah, but everything points to him being sent by the royalty to kill the king. He wasn't some rogue." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

“Well how can that be? Wouldn’t the royalty get someone better at not being known about?”

 

"Well, the king just showed up dead one day, and it took a long while until the assassin was traced back to." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

“Huh.”
Pause.
“So how’d the war end?”

 

"Aj and I slaughtered through the armies in one final push and killed the king and queen of light, along with a few other figures of power, rendering their armies without direction and forcing them to surrender." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

“Cool! Or, as cool as war goes. Killing people’s not always the coolest, but I get it.”
