Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Artemis just runs past Ruby, heading out of the medical ward.


"To get sweets, of course! We're going trick or treating!" Bea says.

 

Ruby just stares, confused.


Amethyst takes Bea's hand, going wherever she takes her.

 

"Any preferences? I'm not really familiar with this village."

 

The doctor and nurse eventually leave with Stephanie, guiding her.


Bea takes Amethyst outside, heading into the main city.

 

"Any inn works. Just getting a shower they'd probably offer you for free."

Ruby tries to follow.
"...Can I go with them?"


Amethyst lets her tail drag in order to keep tabs on her surroundings.

 

"Hm?" The doctor asks.


Amethyst appears to be approaching a house, and she can feel the vibrations of the door being knocked on. A short moment later, Bea holds out her bucket arm, and she can feel a few objects fall into it.

 

“What’s been happening?”

 

"I'll take a look around then, thanks."
He heads out.
"See you tomorrow then."

 

"Paperwork, confidential stuff, sorting out laws and lawbreakers, that sort of thing." Shadow Stephanie shrugs.

 

“‘S there a lot of lawbreakers here?”

 

"Not here specifically, but in the other kingdoms and cities. I'm sort of the royalty of royalty in a sense." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

Crystal seems surprised.
“There’s other kingdoms?”

 

"Well, yeah. You didn't think this one kingdom was the only thing in the entire realm, did you?" Shadow Stephanie asks.

 

Crystal pauses.
“I guess I didn’t really think about it.”

 

Shadow Stephanie just laughs.

 

Crystal smiles.
“What’re they like?”

 

"Different, and interesting. Some of them you might not notice much of a difference, but if you head far out enough you'll find a completely different culture." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

“Do you go to them often?”

 

"Not as much as I used to anymore. When I was younger I went traveling to as many as possible, but then the war happened." Shadow Stephanie says, sighing.

 

“What war?”
Crystal asks, intrigued.
