So... If One Were To Screw Up, Can They Ask Mods To Help?

So, I changed my name for a Halloween thing. It was meant to be changed only like for a day or whatever, and it's not until after I hit "change" that I read the whole "you can only change your name once every 90 days" (although the error message for trying again says 30 days)

Anyway, yeah, as you know I am very fond of being SPYROHAWK, and it is rather upsetting that I can't change my name back for a month. Also, there's always that fear of someone else taking the name, yada yada.

Anyway, I know mods can do special things like add people to full convos and whatnot, so I was wondering if mods have the power to change someone's username before the cooldown.

I know it's really rude of ask mods to do special things, so I'm asking here first if it's allowed to ask mods to do stuff like this.

So... yeah. I mean, the answer is probably no, but better to find out just in case, right?

You're totally allowed to ask... It's a serious question that pertains to the game/forums... I don't see why this isn't okay.

 

IDK, some things simply arn't ok. Like messaging a mod asking to be unbanned is frowned upon. IDK, I just want to play it safe before messaging any mod and maybe getting yelled at.

 

Moderators actually don't have the ability to change forum names, ironically enough. I suggest waiting either the time it asked you to wait or shoot @Pretzule a dm and see what he thinks (this doesn't mean flood pretzule with direct messages, but if you actually "screwed up" with good intentions, that's okay).

Cool. I was hoping for a mod / web team response. I would like to think I'm wise enough to know flooding a mod with messages is not a good idea. I figured Pretzule would be my best bet, but I didn't want to DM her until I heard from a mod or something saying it's a good idea. I'll do that now, thanks!

 

BTW you now have to wait 30 days to change your name (instead of 90).

In the end you definitely don't need to worry about your name getting stolen, unless of course you happen to go inactive for a few months starting now, so don't do that.

Just going to state that Pretz is a 'he' and not a 'her'
