Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Katie's eyes widen, and she blasts Ruby's head with water before freezing it, quickly rolling out of bed and seemingly disappearing in a puddle of foggy water, ripples running along it as it creps out of the room.

"If you think about things too hard then they seem worse than they really are." Shadow Stephanie says happily.

 

“Yeah. Yeah, I guess so.”
Crystal thinks, smiling.

 

"Katie, wait!" Ruby calls after poking a hole in the ice. "Abigail wanted to see you!"

 

"Thanks for the tip."
He heads through the portal.

 

You step out to a bit of a drizzle, the occasional raindrop falling from the sparse clouds.
Looks like it shouldn't be raining at all, but that's just a minor distraction.

A short walk to the city gate, and a guard waves you over.
"Afternoon! You here for a visit?" They ask, sitting next to the palace gate in the middle of a game of cards.

 

"I am. Can I enter?"

 

Shadow Stephanie smiles back positively.

The water creeps out of the room, the doctor slowly following it.

 

“It’s nice to have time for a break.”
Crystal reflects, forming into a puddle on the ground.

 

Ruby sighs, sitting down.

"...Would you please thaw out my face?" Ruby thinks.

"Under one condition. Keep out of beast form while you're here, and you're free to enter." The guard says, opening the gate.

 

"Uhm.. sure. How did you..?"
With a confused look on his face he walks inside.

 

"We've heard about you. Don't worry too much, keep out of beast form and nobody'll bother you... you might get offered a shower, though."

You walk into a road lined with various facilities, one extremely large building visible off in the distance.
Behind all the shops and stands are a bunch of houses, so you've got your pick of destinations.

 

"Uhm.."
He looks around, searching for a blacksmith.

 

You get fairly close to the massive building, cheering and shouts coming from it.
It might be a good idea to ask someone where a blacksmith is, because it's not clear if there's a smithy amidst this mess of shops...

 

"I wonder what game they are playing now... Oh well."
He walks around and then taps someone on the shoulder.
"Excuse me."

 

A woman turns.
"Yes?"
She seems to be trying to hold her breath.

 

"Do you perhaps know where I can find the blacksmith?"
"Do I really smell that bad?" He thinks to himself.

 

"Oh, sure. Up ahead, there's a floral shop. Take the street to its left, and you won't be able to miss the smithy."

 

"Thank you ma'am. Have a good day."
He walks towards the floral shop and takes the left street.

 

She gasps after you get a short ways away.

Sure enough, the smithy is at the end of the street. You can see it from here. The door's even open.

 

He smells his arm. "Do I really smell that bad?" He mutters to himself.
He walks towards the blacksmith.
