Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

He does his best to stay away from them by jumping, instinctively holding down ‘x’.

 

The guard just gently puts Ihra down again, exhausted.

Crystal jumps into an enemy, but ends up killing it and bouncing off of it, gaining more speed.

 

Crystal seems confused, but just goes with it, continuing to run.
“How long do these usually last?”
He asks, though he doesn’t seemed annoyed in the slightest.

 

"About five minutes a level." Shadow Stephanie says happily.

 

"...You could probably just, like, teleport her somewhere or roll her off to the side." Sapphire sighs.

 

Crystal smiles, continuing to enjoy the level.

 

"Right." The guard says, catching his breath.

Crystal manages to make it to the end without getting hit, the blue hedgehog running past a sign that spins around, eventually stopping with a picture of the hedgehog giving a thumbs up on it.

 

"...You okay?" Sapphire asks, concerned.

 

Crystal puts the controller down, slinking over to the shelves of games, looking at it.

 

"Yeah, I'll be fine." The guard says.

The games appear to be sorted in chronological order by release date, each row representing a different console.

 

"...I can get a puppet in here to help."

 

Crystal looks over the shelves, inspecting some of the game titles.

 

"It's fine." The guard says, before teleporting Ihra away.

A few titles that stick out are 'Psychic Nauts', 'Spiro, Year of the Dragon', 'Bee Movie Game The Movie, The Game', 'Just Because' and 'Shunter, Half-Genius Hero'

 

Sapphire waits a bit before leaving.

 

Crystal slinks around the shelves a bit more before turning to Shadow Stephanie, smiling.
“Hey, thanks.”

 

Meanwhile...

Katie stirs a bit in her hospital bed.

"No problem. Are you feeling happier now?" Shadow Stephanie asks, smiling.

 

Ruby sits up, hopeful.

 

Katie's eye's slowly open, and she looks around a bit without sitting up.

 

Ruby stands up, nervous.
"U-uhm... are you feeling better?" She asks cautiously.

Abigail gets access to sensory again, having been tuned out during the wait.

 

“Yeah.”
He pauses, smiling.
“Y’know, I never really thought I’d end up like this. But I guess I didn’t really think about it much, so I guess that’s a-okay.”
