"No... I hope I didn't let my wounds distract from our meeting yesterday, though."

 

The second high security door might be a hint.

The game starts up, and Crystal gains control of the yellow character, moving him around with the joystick.

 

Ruby heads over to the high security door, curious.

 

The door seems to be locked with multiple high-tech locks, the doctor almost appearing behind Ruby as she approaches.

 

"...Am I allowed to visit those behind door number 2 as well?"

 

Crystal plays the game, albeit quite poorly, quickly losing.

 

"...If you promise you'll do them no harm." The doctor says, starting to open the door.

The coin clinks back into the return, allowing Crystal to try again.

 

"I got some wounds myself, so I didn't mind them that much."

 

He doesn’t, walking away from the machine and looking for Shadow Stephanie.

 

Shadow Stephanie appears to be setting up a game on the large TV at the top of the stairs.

 

"I'd like to hope I'm smarter than to try and harm the ones my life depends on." Ruby sighs.

"You just told me you were okay. So... did you get hurt in the fire, or no?"

 

The door eventually slowly opens, revealing Artemis and I in heavily shielded beds.

 

Ruby keeps quiet, deciding to head back to Katie's bed.
"...Will she be conscious soon?"

 

"Hopefully. She's worn herself out, though her wounds from battle have been treated." The doctor says.

 

"I didn't. They are older wounds. Scars and stuff."

 

"...Would I be allowed to imbue her with more life energy?"

"Oh... Okay. Your friend told me that things almost got bad, but you were fine. I guess you can trust a kitsune every now and then."

 

"Yeah, Anne took care of most of the little burns I got. And most of the fire."

 

"...So you did get hurt, but then she healed you?" Rema asks, getting a bit frustrated.

 

"She doesn't require it, she just needs rest." The doctor says.

 

Ruby nods, remaining silent.
"...Do I have a time limit in here?"
She takes Katie's hand again.
