Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"I'm probably gonna fix my weapons if I can find a blacksmith around here somewhere."
He holds up one of the axe heads.

 

"How'd you manage to lose just the handles?" Rema asks, coming closer for a better look.

 

"A forest fire burnt the wood." He smiles.

 

"Oh...her." Shadow Stephanie says, annoyed.

 

"...You lived near the fire?" Rema asks, suddenly concerned.

Ruby shakes a bit.
"...You're really not just going to throw me aside?"

 

"Well, no of course not. You're three quarters my friend, and one quarter someone I need to re-discover." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

Ruby wipes a tear off her face.
"...Thanks for not killing me, but... I need to ask, for Abigail's sake, can you bring me to Katie?"

 

"I live in a forest, those things happen every now and then."

 

"I didn't know you lived in THAT forest... are you okay?"

 

"What do you mean THAT forest?"

 

"The forest that's actively on fire. There's, like, five on the mainland."

 

"Well... I'm not injured so that's good." He awkwardly smiles.

 

"I'm not sure if I can. She's currently in the medical ward." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

"May I go see her anyways? Please? And... maybe the others?"

"Did you lose your home, or do you not know?"

 

"I mean. I still live in the forest. Nothing bad happened to our resting place."

 

"Good. If your friends need anything, let me know." Rema offers, still a bit concerned.

 

"If you really want to, you can just ask to see them at reception and tell them I gave you permission. I'm going to play some video games with Crystal." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

"Okay, thank you." Ruby says, heading back to the palace and, if unobstructed, looks for the way to the medical wing.

 

There don't appear to be any clues to where the medical wing might be, though a few elevators appear to be placed periodically along the outer walls.

 

Ruby heads to an elevator, looking for a guide book.
