Should I Create A Double Xp Server Tracker?

No. It would cause unfairness to people who don't know/use the website or mod or whatever it is. It would also flood the servers instantly, causing a whole ton of saltiness.

 

I have spoken to red and it will not cause an issue with servers being flooded.

 

But if every single person using this website/mod are alerted to a dxp server, it is almost a guaranteed that they will all rush to that server.

 

I just don't think it's a good idea.

 

If it turns out that it ends up crashing servers then I will remove the tracker.

 

tbh if you know that 60 players = serious event, there is no need

No, it will cause people to rush in and its unfair for the players who dont have your mod/etc.

 

The message would likely not be instant, and it won't just be a mod, i am planning to create a web page that will display the servers so everyone will be able to have access to it.

 

But the person who dropped the DXP can be anoyyed from it. People rushing into that WC and steal his "farming" place. That will happen often. I know that the DXP Bomb is for sharing and so, but the person I thin would likly to farm alone his xp instead of people stealing all his XP.
If you ask him to go, I doubt he would because there are some people that aren't really nice.
Would YOU like it, if you drop a DXP on your costs of real life money and literally can't do anything because people rushing into your farming place and steal all your kills and "snip" your xp away?

 

This tracker will also track Dungeon Bombs. If there are lots of complaints about the Double XP tracker it will be removed, i think this example won't actually happen as often as you think.

 

Maybe it's just the worst case, but still it can happen. It already happens sometimes without a tracker, that a player randomly joins your WC at your farm place, I think that tracker will increase the rate.

The idea is nice. Can cause problems, but overall a nice idea. The main ways this can go wrong is due to others greed. Won't say that I have my own, but hey if someone throws a DXP, you than then. But that command of thanks but message them. It would mean more from a message from another person, than a message from a machine that a person was too lazy to type. It is an interesting thought that you aren't doing a mod if I read correctly. But based on the current state of the server... it isn't much of a good idea... but I support it.

Yes please! Although I'd think that this would have the same outcome as the good ol' swarm tracker from back in the day. The servers would clog up within seconds andnyoud be extremely lucky to get in.
