Also, Niryes is out of range to attack the magma thing.

Magnam vaults through the fire unburned, even seeming to be healed from it, and sprints at Niryes. Throwing caution and defense back into the fire, he slashes his axe at Niryes, leaving a trail of fire in its wake.

Attack Roll: 16 + 5 - 1 = 20
Damage Roll: A lot. Plus, the axe is on fire.

His axe, dealing a mighty blow, knocks Niryes unconscious and sends him flying into the wall.

BTW, Magnam lowered his defenses for a more powerful attack there. You may want to take advantage of that.

I do have that poison spit cantrip, so there's that :P

 

I run at Magnam and attack him with my longsword:
To hit: nat 20 :)

Behind the longsword on my character sheet it says versatile(1d10) So do I roll a d10 for damage or a d8+3
For the D10 I got a 10 and for d8+3 I got a 7. I don't know if the nat 20 on to hit has any effect on it.

 

Poison Spray requires somatic components, so you can't cast it while tied up.

About the versatile, is Knaal using the sword one-handed or two-handed?

 

Currently one-handed but he can use it two handed.

 

So, 1d8 damage. My policy for critical hits is that you take the maximum result of the damage die you rolled and add it to the normal damage. So, your sword swing would deal 8 + 7 + 3 = 18 damage.
