Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Bardock is speechless. He friendly smiles, handing her a rabbit.

 

"Yeah, hopefully." Abigail says.


Shadow Stephanie looks up, "Oh, heya." She says happily.


"Best of luck with your battles." The guard says.

 

He stops smiling.
“Sorry. This is probably harder for you than it is for me.”

 

"Well... good night."


"Aj took an artillery blast to the back of the head."


"Thanks." Sapphire sighs, vanishing.

"That's an understatement."

She wraps her tongue around it and eats it, holding still.

Her body is wracked with cuts, bruises, and missing scales, but she came anyways...

 

"So, how come you are afraid for going outside? Is it because people believe you're evil?"

 

"Yes. I have a lot of enemies." She sighs.

 

"Goodnight." Abigail says.


"Oooosh, is he ok?" Shadow Stephanie asks, concerned.

 

"You look injured. Are you hurt perhaps?"
He looks worried.

 

“Well, I’m off to take a nap. Haven’t fought like that in a while. The option to stay’s still open.”
Voidfiller says, walking off towards the house. The portal’s still open.

 

Ruby tries to fall asleep.


"Not sure. He did manage to liberate maybe a hundred draconians, plus he brought home a few faeries."

They glance over at Voidfiller, then the house, and then they leave.

"Oh, those are old wounds. Don't worry too much about me."

 

The portal closes as they leave, with no word from Voidfiller.

 

Ruby falls asleep quite easily.


"Yeah, apparently he showed up in the medical ward with a faerie he cared about that was almost dead, so he ordered it emergency treatment," Shadow Stephanie says, "I don't understand Aj sometimes. I think Artemis is rubbing off on him."

 

Ruby winds up not waking up until there's activity downstairs.


"He took a dying faerie, empowered it, then it became a lightning rod."

Crystal's left with Linoa.
"Well... that could've gone better, but I'd say it went well."

 

Ruby eventually ends up waking up to some hammering late morning.


"I guess he did it as thanks then." Shadow Stephanie shrugs.

 

Yawning, she heads downstairs.


Rineth remains quiet.
"Are things going okay? Did Lady Tenebrae come to terms with her recovery?" He asks, after a pause.

 

Vexa seems to be hammering away again, as usual.


"Yes, she came to visit while you were out fighting, actually. She seems to be back to her old self." Shadow Stephanie says happily.

 

“Yeah. We got a lot of people out, didn’t we? But what happened to Gaia?”

 

"Another longsword?" Ruby asks, glancing outside.


"Oh, really? That's fantastic! Could you maybe ask her to speak with Xlentia? She wanted to apologize, but she's been refusing to leave her chambers since she's lost contact with the entire force she sent to aid Gaia."

“Nice!”
Crystal smiles, then looks around.
“I should find out what happened to Voidfiller, though...”

 

"Also, I, uh... wanted to ask if you were okay. It seemed like you weren't used to fighting on the front lines. It's... hard, isn't it? More than just who's the better fighter."
