Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

She catches them, smiling.
"Thanks. It's just down the street, right? I haven't even gotten to look around town yet."


Ihra winds up falling asleep.

 

"Yeah, it's hard to miss." Vexa says happily.


Ihra ends up being woken up by a ice cold splash of water on her face.

 

"It's easier when you're a new face, but I'll probably manage." Ruby says, heading outside and glancing around, actually paying attention this time.


She lets out a short scream, rolling off the massage bed if she was still on it.

 

The sun appears to be beginning to set, an Earth Guardian sliding by past her. A few shops appear to be to Ruby's left, though based on the signs, they appear to be for clothing and baked goods.


Ihra just rolls on a cold floor.

"Is she awake?" Katie asks.

"Try splashing her again." I suggest.

 

Ruby looks for a mystic's tent, or any sign that would suggest a magic shop.


"Damn you, Aj..." She mumbles, trying to get up.

 

Ruby can't see anything that would suggest a magic shop, though an Earth Guardian coming from the other direction seems to be looking through a bag of mage crystals.

 

She approaches the Earth Guardian.
"Excuse me, but could you tell me where I can find the magic shop here? I just got here today."

 

"Oh, it's just down the street that way." The Earth guardian says, pointing the direction he came from.


OOC: Oops I forgot Ihra

Artemis offers a hand to help Ihra up.

 

"Thanks." Ruby says, heading off the way he pointed.


Ihra takes it.
"How long was I out?"

 

Ruby eventually sees a floating island with a large mystic looking tent set up on it, a wooden bridge leading out the island.


"Ten minutes." Stephanie says.

 

Ruby heads inside, curious.


"...Five more, please?" She asks, whining.

 

An old, wrinkled woman in a cloak appears to be inside, a table with a crystal ball in front of her. There appear to be shelves of various potions, crystals and other magical items set up around the tent, and what look like dreamcatchers hang from the top of the tent.

"Ah, the dual draconian arrives. I have long since expected your arrival at this time." The old woman says, smiling, the crystal ball swirling.


"Don't you want to save Gaia from the Hive Masters control?" Artemis asks, looking ready for battle.

 

"...What?"


"Yeah, but... ohh, okay... I'll nap later..." She yawns.

 

"Your name is Ruby, isn't it? Ah, but that's not entirely you." The old woman says, smiling.


"We're going to need your help, Ihra." I say, opening a portal to the void palace library from the portal room's terminal.

 

"...Why do I feel like my sister went through this?" She sighs. "Yeah... I'm Ruby. Abigail's inside me. I want my staff refilled. Et cetera."


"Okay, okay. I'm coming." She says, grabbing her staff.

 

"Sure thing," The old woman chuckles, "I should have it ready by tomorrow. It's just one diamond."


The group heads through the portal to the void, Artemis taking the lead.

 

Ruby tosses her a coin.
"...Why so much interest in me?"


Ihra sticks close to Katie.

 

"It's not every day a visitor from another universe comes here, nor do they provide a safe vessel for a lost heart." The old woman says happily, the coin bouncing on the table before landing in front of her.


"It's kind of sad Abigail isn't around to help us." Katie says as she walks.

 

"...I need her friends to choose to let me live."


"She kind of scared me, though..."

 

"If you are honest, and let her heart shine through, then they will be a lot more trusting of you. You are not like those dark creatures that steal hearts to create more of themselves." The old woman says.


"She was always nice to me though, and I don't think she meant you any harm," Katie says, "I've just missed her since she's been gone...I hope we can find her again soon."
