Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Ruby sighs.
"Still just worried about you, eh?" She thinks. "That's beside the point though... we might go back to normal sooner than I thought."

 

"Well...I don't want you to die either!" Abigail says.

 

Ruby keeps quiet for a bit, reflective.
"...I'm sorry. I shouldn't have tried to make you care about me."

 

"It sort of happens when you're stuck with someone. I can't remember much about you before this, but I'll try my best to remember you after." Abigail says sincerely.

 

"...Please don't. You knew me when I was mind controlled, and I was a terrible person. I don't want your friends to think I'm that same terrible person."

 

"I meant this you. The one I'm stuck with." Abigail says happily.

 

"...Thanks. I'm sorry I couldn't be like this when we first met."

 

"When you were hiding?" Abigail asks.

 

"That, and when I attacked your group. When I was mind controlled."

 

"I don't remember that." Abigail says.

 

"...Works for me."

 

A long while later, a rather angry looking Vexa returns to the shop, slamming the door after entering.

 

"...I assume it didn't go well?"

 

"Ah. Thank you." He smiles.

 

"I've been meaning to ask about the fire, anyways. Perhaps it's time I step in and help, though I personally believe it's good to let a fire rage on..."

 

"You mean the fire which the dragons are dealing with?"

 

"Apparently he was 'too busy' saving another realitys Gaia to see me, but the message would get 'passed on'. I couldn't even get close." Vexa says, angry.

 

"Wildfires in general... you know how people live and die? Forests are kind of the same way. If you don't let them die, then they start withering from the inside out. If they burn, then the ground is fertile for another generation of plants to thrive."

Ruby sighs.
"Oh, yes... my home reality is a wreck. I should've mentioned that our Gaia is under siege. You know, thousands of dead centaur, elves, faeries. That kind of siege."

 

"Sounds logical, in a way."
He looks at the sky.
"But I really think we should go now. See in two weeks then?"

 

"Yes, I'll be back in two weeks. Same place?"
