Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Isabelle, don't you remember?" Ihra's friend asks, concerned, "Should I call the emergency services when we land?"


The cast slots in neatly, though Ruby might want to use a sturdier material for the gauntlet.

 

"...That's not my name..." She mutters.


She heads over to the ingots, waiting for Abigail's input.

 

"Yes it is...Excuse me!" Ihra's friend says, calling to one of the staff aboard the aeroplane.


Abigail moves Ruby's claw over to a red crystalline ingot.

 

"N-no! What happened to me?!"


Ruby takes it and puts it in the smelter.

 

A nurse walks over.

"What seems to be the problem?" The nurse asks.

"My friend here suffers from random spots of amnesia, and she hasn't taken her medication. Could you please help?" Ihra's friend asks.

"Sure. We just need to give you a little injection." The nurse says, taking out a large needle.


The ingot takes a while to smelt down, but it eventually becomes molten.

 

"N-no! Leave me alone!" Ihra protests, trying to cast a spell, any spell.


Ruby heads back over to the cast and molds.

 

She can't seem to.

Suddenly, the plane disappears, everyone entering a freefall toward a forest below. The air rushes past Ihra as she falls toward the ground.


The cast is empty, the molten ingot ready to be poured in.

 

She tries to revert, or do anything, panicking.


Ruby puts her hand near a valve again.

 

Ihra can't do anything

"I guess this is it!" Ihra's friend shouts, before Ihra's vision goes black with a heavy thump; though she seemed rather far from the ground.


Ihra wakes up suddenly inside the flower, the liquid draining.


Abigail just turns it for her, letting the liquid crystal pour out.

 

She sighs, even more stressed.


"Any special thing to do with this, or just let the cast fill and move on?" Ruby thinks.

 

The flower opens up, revealing Artemis next to her looking depressed.


"We can add a pattern later." Abigail says.

 

"The flower give you crap too?"


"Alright."
Ruby waits for Abigail's next move, keeping her claw on the flow valve.

 

"I saw mother..." Artemis says sadly.


Abigail just turns the valve off once the cast is full, before picking it up.

 

"...What did she tell you?"


Ruby gives Abigail a bit more control.

 

"It was just a memory..." Artemis says, looking a bit tearful.


Abigail takes the cast over to the ice pool, dipping it in to rapidly cool the molten crystal, steam hissing off of the pool.

 

Ihra hugs Artemis.


"On the bright side, you can't get doused with water." Ruby thinks.

 

Artemis hugs Ihra back tightly.


"I remember being scared of water." Abigail says.

 

"I died. Not a fan of those flowers."


"Water used to hurt you."

 

"Their visions usually have some kind of meaning, even if it seems vague." Artemis says.


"Oh. Weird." Abigail says.

 

"I was a human..." Ihra mumbles.


"It hurt you badly, but you don't have to worry about it right now."
