"Wow... everyone really hates humans around here..."


"Don't think about it much. You'll be okay. Now, come on. We have a boss to impress."

 

"Tch, planet ruiners." A forest guardian comments as they pass by.


"I-I don't know how much I like being someone else. I still feel like a-an individual, you know?" Abigail says, though submissively.

 

Ihra hesitates, before walking after the guardian.
"Uhm... excuse me, but what all bad stuff do they do?"


"You are an individual. You aren't me, you're just a part of me. Only problem is, we've gotta work together to get you back to being yourself again. I like you, but I don't fancy getting myself killed so you can get put into some cloned body."

 

"They've chopped down our forests at extreme rates to make room for them to breed animals to eat, and build factories to create disgusting materials. They've polluted oceans drilling for oil to fuel their machines that ruin the skies, it's pollution has even killed air guardians. Not to mention the amount of habitats they've ruined trying to blow each other up, leaving radioactive craters that mutate and kill anyone who goes near it," The forest guardian explains, "And that's barely the tip of the iceberg. Humans are a disease that have spread out of control, and they need to be stopped."


"But...I'm basically your slave." Abigail says.

 

"Wow... that's... sad." Ihra sighs. "I wonder why the humans I know never do things like that..."


"If you were my slave, you'd be a puppet... buuuuut, you're a part of me. Everything you do, I feel. You're like a second mind, not a slave. You don't tire, but I do. When I'm fatigued, you won't know it."
Pause.
"Seriously, please help me out here. You know how to do stuff the way guardians do things, and I know how to show them things they've never seen before. We work together, and I bet we can get you back to normal in no time."

 

"Not all humans are inherently evil, some have even partnered up with us. It is the corrupt and greedy ones that rule them that are ruining us, and thus the actions of the few effect the fates of the many. We just cannot risk it," The forest guardian says, "The Shadows are great allies. They hunt humans for their own reasons, and as we share a common enemy, we can help each other."


"I-I'll try, I just remember that I miss my friends most of all." Abigail says, sounding sad.

 

Ihra nods, looking away before walking up to other smaller flowers.


"Hey, calm down. We're in this together, right?" Ruby asks, moving towards the casts.

 

There appears to be a strange species of flower that all grow in the same shape, but each petal is different in colour, creating a rainbow of flowers.


"Y-Yeah..." Abigail says, "When can we go see Katie?"

There appears to be a cast for the main hand pieces of the gauntlet set aside, as well as a cast for the segmented parts of the fingers.

 

Ihra heads over and gently touches one of the petals, happier with these than the carnivorous plants.


"We can't do it tonight. I need to settle down first, but I promise we'll do it by the end of the month."

 

The petal curls up, it's colours shifting.


"Oh...ok." Abigail says.

A warm tear forms in Ruby's eye, rolling down her face.

 

Ihra waits to see if the petals will unfurl again.


Ruby wipes it away.
"Hey, I know you miss your friends... but all except one thinks I'm still hell bent on killing them. If I show myself in front of Katie, she won't know you're in there and she'll flee. Please... help me change that. Help me become just another blacksmith. Help me become a friend, not a foe." She thinks, pleading.

 

The petal unfurls after a while, it's colours changing again.


Abigail doesn't respond, but more tears come.

 

Ihra gently runs a claw over the whole group, amused.


Ruby wipes them.
"...Look, I'm sorry. I really am. I need your help, and if you're not willing to give it, then I'll stop asking... but if we want to get back to the way things were, we need to work with each other. I've got a whole plan laid out, but it involves you."
Pause.
"So... you willing to give me another chance?"

 

The petals of each curl up, until they form a more condensed and different rainbow.


"W-What's your plan?" Abigail asks.

 

Ihra smiles.


"So... a lot of information gets back to the shadow king, right? If I can make an honest name for myself here on Earth, there's a chance he'll see that I'm not his enemy."
Pause.
"Only problem, is that I know hardly anything about guardians or how they live. That'd be where you come in. You help me fit in, and I use that to get his attention. Once I have his attention, in a good way, he'll listen to our story and hopefully he'll be able to help us out.
...Does that make sense?"

 

Ihra feels a presence looming behind her ominously, drawing closer.


"But...didn't Shadow Stephanie say she'd try and help me too? Wouldn't she tell my friends about that?" Abigail asks.

 

She's too absorbed with the flowers to care much.
"Hello?"


"Okay, here's the deal... I don't want to die. I just got my curse lifted, and the first thing I do is rescue you. Right now, your friends can save you whenever they want, and you'll be back to normal... but that'll be it for me."

 

"Hey. Having fun?" Artemis asks with a friendly tone, smiling.


"So...you need to make yourself look good?" Abigail asks.

 

"Fun isn't the word, but these flowers are nice." She says cheerily.


"...If you really don't like me, that's one way to put it. I just want off their hitlists, and frankly, it would be nice to settle down and have a home somewhere. Oh, and, you know, be alive."
Pause.
"I was hoping they'd be grateful I saved you. Of course, somehow with me it always gets spun around so they think I killed you..."

 

"Oh. Uh.. nice to meet you, Mark."
He shakes his hand.
