Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"It's just... ugh... I dunno." Ihra complains, flustered.


"You said to play around a bit and not burn myself. So, that's exactly what I'm doing." Ruby responds coldly, not turning around to keep Abigail from getting startled.

"Supervisor just popped in, heads-up. Keep working, and I'll handle the rest."

You're weary by the time you get to the shoreline, and Anne hops off your shoulder.
"You sure this was a good idea...?"

The Leviathan's coming, but you'd have to sit in the sun for another minute. Maybe getting in the water might help?

 

I appear in front of Ihra in my smaller form, giving her a hug.

"Do you want to go relax somewhere?" I ask.


The shopkeeper picks up a claw, looking it over.

"Sharp material on the outside, durable middle to prevent breakage, no mixing of the materials...You've really got the workings of a good smith. Sorry for doubting you, keep up the good work." The shopkeeper says happily, giving Ruby an unintentionally hard pat on the back as she walks over to her chests to check what she has.

 

"Ugh..."
He steps in the water and lays down. Then he gives a thumb up, showing Anne he's fine.

 

"Yeah... that sounds nice."


Ruby coughs upon being hit.
"You're right to doubt me. You still should. I'll need to take some alone time to get to my old condition, but I figure I need to earn it first."

The waves wash over your chest, the sand soft.
"Better?" Anne asks, just to make sure.

 

"Yeeeeeah~."
He continues enjoying the waves.
"How about you take a dive?" He chuckles

 

Anne seems shocked.
"Uh, hell no! Not jumping in to any water!" She protests.

 

He starts laughing.
"Oh.. that always makes me feel better."

 

She sighs.
"You won't stop teasing me about that, will you?"

 

"We all got our things. Maybe one day it'll stop being funny."

 

"Yeah, yeah... Now I just have to find something to tease you back about." She giggles.

 

"Good luck. There aren't many things I can't deal with." He smiles.

 

"In that case, good thing you can't smell yourself!" Anne teases.

 

"I don't smell. You're probably just smelling yourself." He chuckles.

 

"Oh, please. You'll never smell as clean as a princess." She retorts, laughing.

 

"And if you smell a little, people know you work hard." He smiles.

 

"And if you smell a lot, people think you're uncivilized. That's what I was taught, at least."

 

"Yeah."
He washes his face.

 

"We have a massage parlor if you wanted a massage or something, or you could head to the forest guardian's area if you wanted to be around nature." I say happily.


"Well, good work earns good pay. Keep up this standard and you'll be earning diamonds in no time." The shopkeeper says, smiling.

 

You wind up wiping a lot of dirt off your face.
"You might want to get washed before our wedding. You've got dirt everywhere."

 

"I'm working on it." He says.
