Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Lux dodges out of the way, before freezing as Zeri starts flying again.

Ihra can't seem to.

 

Ihra tries harder, Xlentia stomping on the now-frozen Lux.

 

"Then it should be no problem to control my abilities."
He still looks a bit confused.
"So I can't kill anyone in my lycanthrope form. But what if I have to kill someone, as in a fight or to protect someone, will that be a problem?"

 

Ihra still can't, it's like Tenebrae doesn't exist.

Lux seems unaffected, unmoving from his position, though Xlentia feels like something will change when he's unfrozen...

 

"Fae, unfreeze." Xlentia says, putting all of her weight on Lux.


Ihra glances around, still worried.

"Yes. You don't need to kill one to stop them from fighting. I learned that long ago..."

 

"No killing, but stopping them from fighting is okay. So I can use brute force to like wound them or something?"

 

"Yes."

 

"Understood."
He bows.
"Thank you for your help, Rema. It is greatly appreciated."

 

Lux unfreezes, and is hit from the force of the first attack before moving out from under Xlentia quickly.


The room is still dark, the large hands not able to reach Ihra and Zeri, and the eyes focused on Xlentia.

A large pink blob of slime falls through a portal near to Ihra, almost looking like chewed up bubblegum before it forms a humanoid with a what looks like a slimy tail instead of legs, though it could just be the leftover slime.

"Anyone need to get out of here?" The slime asks. There appear to be strange bubbles on what the slime appears to have made to look like clothing, the bubbles almost resembling eyes.

 

I fly up to Zeri by now, watching for anything that might try to flank her.

 

Zeri just seems to be waiting for orders, keeping an eye on the large hands that grabbed her before.

 

I still stay be her side, just as cautious.

 

Rema slinks off the branch towards you, touching you with a claw.
"Done. Don't fail me, grandchild."

 

Zeri seems a little startled, flying away from you before calming down.

 

Xlentia blasts the darkness with hypnofire.


"...No." Ihra says.

 

"Grandchild?!"
He looks surprised.
"Is that just because of the whole curse thing, or are you...?"

 

The darkness seems mostly unaffected by it, one of the hands reaching out and grabbing Xlentia's face, trying to crush it.

Lux charges up a powerful negative shot before ramming the gun into Xlentia and firing it.


"Ok, I'll be here when you need me." The slime says, melting into a small blob on the floor.

 

Ihra leaps out between Lux and Xlentia, creating a barrier that tries to block all three attacks at once.

 

The shot seems to absorb and drain the energy of the barrier, growing bigger the more it absorbs.
