Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Books, vials, and cauldrons.
The portal closes behind you.
"You wanted me to bring you to the demon that cursed you?" Rema asks, watching you carefully from above. "She's right in front of you."

 

Zeri seems to be above you, looking at the hands nervously as she keeps Lux frozen.

Zeri does as told, letting Lux become unfrozen before freezing each hand of darkness, then the eyes, then trying to freeze the mouth too. Lux seems to rapidly clone himself, each clone coming with a new weapon which it aims at Xlentia.


The mouth closes around Ihra, hundreds of small and large teeth chewing her up before slowing down as Zeri tries to freeze it, Ihra easily being crushed between the teeth.

 

Ihra barely shields herself, trying to reach out to the darkness in desperation.


Xlentia smiles, smashing a stone tablet with another step.

 

"What do you..?"
He looks confused at Rema and slowly looks infront of him.

 

The mouth just slowly chews Ihra, teeth coming to a close only to open up again around her. Ihra suddenly finds herself outside of the mouth, the white dog appearing next to her, sitting.


The Luxs charge up an especially powerful combined shot, the room brightening slightly. Zeri looks scared.

 

Rema is in front of you.
"It's me."

 

"Well?! Can you lift the curse then?"
He looks at Rema.

 

Ihra pets it, turning to Lux and waiting for him to fire.


Xlentia rears up, waiting.

"I can... but not for free."

 

"Ofcourse it won't..."
He looks at Rema, a bit irritated.
"What will it cost me? Blood, my soul or a contracts maybe?"

 

The dog wags it's tail, before warping Zeri over to Ihra, out of the way of Lux's attack.

The Luxs continue to charge before a large portal opens up above the unarmed Lux, another rifle being dropped through which he grabs and fires directly at Xlentia's head, the shot moving so fast it seems to have not even fired at all as all the other Lux clones begin to fire too. However, the clones don't appear to be doing any harm...

 

"Nothing like that. You're the only person who was bold enough to trust me... so I want one thing from you in return of lifting your curse."

The energy is absorbed by... something.
"Fae, swap again!" Xlentia roars, levitating.

 

Zeri does as told, freezing Lux and letting the darkness go, only to be snatched by one of the large hands on the wall and thrown into the mouth with a scream.

The dog runs after Zeri, quickly heading to the mouth.

Lux reloads his rifle before firing a rapid set of blasts toward Xlentia.

 

"And what is that 'one thing'? Just.. tell me already."
He's a bit irritated and nervous at the time.

 

The energy all gets absorbed, Virei'tus hammering the darkness with double the energy captured by Lux's blaster shots as Ihra tries to make Zeri phase again.

"...Promise me you'll use your lycanthropy for good. I... was the one who introduced the magic to a few people. All of them used it to try and wrench control over cities. I never wanted to start a revolution, just to give people gifts."

 

The darkness disappears as Virei'tus hammers it, taking considerably longer to come back this time.

Lux twists his gun before firing an odd shot of what appears to be negative energy, a slight purple aura around it as it flies toward Xlentia.

The dog warps Zeri back to Ihra as she causes her to phase, though she can barely fly as she falls onto the dog, staining its white fur red.

 

"I never planned on using my powers for evil. I only use them when I need them too, protecting myself for example."
He smiles.
"Also.. I hunt animals with the pack, hope that's not considered as 'evil deeds'."

 

Ihra rapidly heals Zeri, forcing her back into consciousness.


The bolt vanishes into nothing.
"MORTAL, DO THE THING!" Xlentia roars, the reality distorting around her.

"Then, let me tell you this deal... I will give you full control of my gift, but if you murder anyone in beast form, I will see your demise."

 

Zeri takes a moment to catch her breath, shaken by the whole experience.


Lux is suddenly flipped upside down before he can take another shot, the dog appearing near to him as Lux topples over, frustrated.

 

"I'll try my best."
He looks worried at Rema.
"There is one problem though. Once I'm weakened, it becomes harder for me to control my abilities. Or will this deal erase those problems?"

 

Xlentia takes a swipe at Lux, destabilizing the reality around the cut.

Ihra tries to link with Tenebrae.
