Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

The dogs fur is soft and clean, like petting a new fluffy carpet.

The dog wanders over to Onyx, still hissing, before laying down submissively. Onyx calms down slightly, and the dog gets up and sniffs her, curious. Onyx tries to calm herself down, before the dogs ears prick up, and he looks upward.

A large sphere of light appears to be quickly growing in Xlentia's chamber, almost like a mini sun. The dog growls, and Zeri gets into a prepared stance.

 

"Here we go...?"
I mutter.

 

Ihra spins her staff, seven tomes appearing behind her.
"This might be it..."
Xlentia rears up, darkness leaking from her mouth.

 

"That's an option. But still, hell has tons of demons. How am I supposed to find the one who cursed my father?"

 

Lux appears in full, thick looking high tech armour with a powerful looking light rifle, aiming it directly at Xlentia and quickly charging a powerful shot.

"Time to die, you biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii-" Lux says as a shot slowly emerges from his gun before slowing to a stop in the air; Zeri darting around quickly as she moves the gun around in Lux's hands and carefully redirects the shot.

The dog warps Xlentia out of the way of Lux, appearing on top of her.

 

I make my way around the room and near Lux, making sure to not draw attention.

 

With rapid taps of Ihra's staff, Xlentia lunges at Lux from the side... and tries to take out his weapon with an empowered chomp.
Ihra empowers Zeri as well, her senses heightened and her strength like unwaivering adrenaline.

 

They sigh.
"Rema might be the best shot you have at pinpointing that demon... I'm sorry I didn't bring it up while she was still here."

 

"Could you call her back? Maybe she still wants to help."

 

"Of course. Again, my apologies."
They disappear down into the darkness, soon returning with Rema.

"A change of mind, hmm?"

 

"Apparently you are the only one capable of finding the demon who cursed my father. So yes, in a way."

 

Rema hesitates.
"I can tell you where you can find aid elsewhere. However, if you have a change of heart, I can bring you to that demon today."

 

"And where would that aid be then?"
He looks at Rema, hesitating.

 

"The underworld. You would need the aid of the draconians, but the citizens in the city there should be able to find the demon who cursed you fairly quickly."
Pause.
"Of course, if time is of the essence, I know exactly where they are."

 

"If I do accept your help, what would it cost me?"

 

"It would be a one way trip. I wouldn't keep the portal open for you to come back."

 

"Great. So I have to figure out a way to get back here myself?!"

 

"You and your girl, yes."

 

"And how do you expect us to get back from wherever you're sending us?"

 

"That isn't my concern."
