'If you go north to Milltown, there's an old abandoned Windmill to the west. If you can go there, get shelter, and then go over the mountains you can avoid most of the bandits on the roads.

If you go South to Thorndale and the Church of Ravina, there's a series of tunnels that go under the southern hills right into the Deadlands. You pop out by an old forgotten wizard's tower. The tower used to house an old wizard, no one has heard of him in ages. North of there you can reconnect with the road.

Or, if you still go West through the opening in the mountains, you are given three choices again. South and North have the same result, passing through another town. If you wish to avoid this, there's a pass slightly north called Death's Pass. You can try the pass, but it has it's name for a reason.'"
