Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

He walks up to you, taking the red stones and putting them aside.
"You going first, or do you care?"

 

"If you've seen what the humans have done, such as permanently ruining a part of their planet with a nuclear explosion, you wouldn't like them much either." Caelia says.

 

"Yeah, I'll go first if you want."
He tosses a blue stone to the center of the middle.

 

"...Humans are a terrible example, though..."

Gram throws a stone that lands right next to yours.
"You've got some good aim for a smaller creature."

 

"Not many others follow me. Most creatures follow Gaia so they can hope to come here." Caelia says.

 

"It's going better than a few minutes ago. Should've seen me."
He tosses a blue stone in the middle of the red and blue stones. Hoping the blue one lands in the circle and the red one doesn't.

 

"Awh, really? No celestial beings? No sentient stars or planets? No spacefaring races?" Ihra asks, almost having pity for Caelia.

"I kind of did."
It causes both stones, somehow, to roll out of the field.
Gram's next throw lands in the corner - doesn'r count.

 

He giggles.
He tosses a blue stone in the middle field.

 

It's a bit short, knocking into the first stone.
Gram's throw rolls into your two center stones, stopping and making a bit of a pile.

 

"There's a species that's mastered space travel, though they believe in their own deity who did great things in their society rather than someone like me." Caelia says.

 

"So, do you know when Siln will return?"
He tosses his stone at one of the blue ones, trying to get it in one of the circles.

 

Ihra sighs, dropping the point.
"...If you don't mind me asking, aren't these meetings usually more productive than... that?"

 

"Yes, but Praecantatia decided to bring mortals." Caelia says.

 

It bounces off the pile, rolling out of bounds.
"No, but he can't be that long. He's always been more of a sightseer."
Pause.
"Ah, hold on. Sorry to make you wait, but I need to go check on something real quick." Gram says, rushing out of the cave.

"Have you ever considered that your disdain for mortals may be why this ended in such a disaster?" Ihra asks, worried. "And, I mean all of you."

 

"Okay. I'll leave the stones where they are then."
He looks as Gram leaves the cave.

 

"Have you ever considered that your inability to see through our eyes, or even the bigger picture here, might be the problem? You completely broke down at the concept of us blocking your people's entry to the Realm of Light and lashed out at Gaia, even though we were concerned with not only the quadrillions upon quadrillions of lives in our reality being at risk, but the wellbeing of ourselves, and thus our reality itself, too. A mortal cannot comprehend the terms of reality on such a scale. The only one who came close to even comprehending some of it was paralysed by it." Temporus explains.

 

"If I cannot comprehend any part of it, why am I the only one who's out here, broken down in front of the gods of our only known neighbors, seeking aid to save the quadrillions upon quadrillions of lives in my reality despite my assured death if I infuriated any of you?!" Ihra retorts, still not taking this well. "If you want to leave the suffering to die, if you want to concern yourself over the health of a utopia, or if you want to throw away my words because they do not come from a god, then it is your fault for allowing your mortals to develop the courage to seek your aid for a cause they believe in!" She cries, starting to lose it again.

He takes off, flying over the ridge of mountains and quickly disappearing.

You can't help but to wonder what's wrong.

 

"Wonder where he's going at this time of day. It's getting dark."
He just looks outside, waiting for someone to return.

 

"I suggest you calm down and take some time to think about what you want to say, so you don't say anything foolish." Temporus says calmly.

"We might be gods, but we're not merciless. If you let your emotions drive your decisions, then you are never truly in control. If you were to infuriate us, we wouldn't kill you. If you were to kill one of us, however, we'd give punishment in return." Caelia says.

 

Ihra shakes her head.
"...I'm sorry for thinking I could ask you for aid and expect pity. Please, let me go home... I've wasted enough of my time here." She asks, wiping her eyes again.

The sun sets by the time Siln arrives.
"Oh, hey Bardock. Who're you playing with?"
Gram still isn't back.
