So the flesh has some kind of static energy to it, so it must be a Blue Dragon.

Only two things cause dragons to exhibit undead properties. If they are Shadow Dragons or Dracoliches. Dracoliches are legit skeletons, so it cant be that. So it must have been like a Blue Shadow Dragon or something.

Remember that you can spend 10x the time a task would normally take you to succeed without a check.

Obviously the DM can place restrictions on this, so a gnome wizard can't break an Adamantine chain, no matter how long they spend doing it.

That's an optional rule, which I flicker between being ok with or not.

The one thing here is that although this scene is taking a few days IRL, it's still only a few minutes in-game. Spending 10 minutes on the rooftop is gonna be a lot longer than expected
