Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"That is quite strange." Artemis says, laughing a bit.


The mother dragon nods her head, as if understanding Ihra.

 

"Maybe I could show him who you are, since he kept asking about my owner?"


Ihra takes a few steps back, putting her hands together.
"Will you let me show you something?"

A dark portal begins to form near her, unbeknownst to Ihra.

 

"Sure, I'd love to meet your new friend." Artemis says, before waving me over and pointing to her chest. I walk over to Artemis before empowering her, one of her green eyes turning to red.


The mother dragon nods, before growling at the portal forming behind her, curling tighter around her sleeping young.

 

"Well... maybe we should wait for my old owner?"


Ihra glances over, Rineth looking through the portal.
"Ihra, are you okay?"
"Yeah... can you give me some space? This mother doesn't like much company."

 

"You mean Ihra? Sure!" Artemis says happily.


The mother roars at Rineth twice, covering her young with a wing. Through her angered roars, Ihra can see a look of fear in the mother dragon's eyes.

 

Sgavrinn nuzzles Artemis as they wait.


Rineth nods, backing up and closing the portal.
"It's okay... he's a guardian. If you need help, he can protect you." Ihra says. "Now... can you promise me you won't chase me out for who I am?"

 

Artemis sits down on the leafy floor, the leaves crunching under her as she brushes them away around her, taking a few blades of grass and tying them together.


The mother dragon nods.

 

Sgavrinn quickly winds up drifting off to sleep.


Ihra cups her hands together, her staff faintly glowing.

With a dim flash of light later, a teal-blue dragon that's smaller than the mother stands where Ihra once stood.
"I mean you no harm, I promise." She says, taking a nervous step backwards.

 

The mother dragon looks scared and confused at first, before sniffing at the dragon. The mother dragon calms down afterward, resting her head.

 

Ihra, still in dragon form, bows before reverting again.
"My friends mean you no harm. If one of them promised to protect you, then we all will."

 

The mother dragon just moves her head over to her young, making sure they're all asleep before resting her head near to them, looking tired herself.

 

"Sleep well." Ihra whispers, leaving the cave.

 

The mother dragon closes her eyes as Ihra leaves.

Artemis waits outside by Sgavrinn, smiling at Ihra when she sees her. I appear to be missing, though one of Artemis' eyes seems to have changed to red.

 

"We ready to go?" Ihra asks, assuming you're empowering Artemis.

 

"Yeah, Sgavrinn wanted to take us to a new friend of his who's a werewolf." Artemis says happily.

 

"Oh... couldn't we meet up with other people again? Like, wasn't there some fancy robot that dragged me around in a net?"

 

Artemis just looks confused.

"Eve?" I ask through Artemis.

 

"Yeah, her." Ihra nods. "Plus I've always wondered if there was a realm of light. You know, how there's a realm of darkness and stuff."

 

"There is. We had a war with them that lasted for years. It's the reason why I'm king. It's the reason I have Shadow Katana." I say through Artemis flatly.

"Wasn't it you who discovered Aj was a king, because you saw the mural in the dining hall of him at war?" Artemis asks Ihra.

 

"Oh, yeah. I thought you might've, like, eradicated it or something." She shrugs.
