"If you want to come along, that's fine. But you signed up with it now that we're together." He laughs

 

"Well, I might have to see if he's still around. I'm curious now."

"Yeah, but I have the benefit of being small enough to have you carry me, and I'm fast enough that you don't get to say no." She giggles, leaping up onto your shoulder.

 

"Luckily girl." He chuckles.
"Let's get going."
He starts moving towards the volcano.

 

"You're welcome to in your break time between sessions." Praecantatia says, smiling.

 

The incline quickly gets fairly steep, and the way up is jagged and blazing hot from sitting in the sun.
"How are you not burning your feet?"

"Like... now?"

 

"Who says I wasn't. Just.. bitting through it."

 

Anne spits a bit of ash at your feet.
"Rub your feet in that. Heat resistance and crap."

 

"Okay?"
He does as she says.
"Feels weird."

 

It feels like mud.
"Just pretend I didn't spit it out and you'll be fine."
Your feet go numb to the heat, and... well, to any temperature.

 

"That's what you think, but I still think it is weird for someone to spit out ash."

 

"Well, I ate a ton in that fire. Technically I threw up on your feet."

 

"And.. thank you for pointing it out."
He looks a bit disgusted.

 

"Magic is dumb. Deal with it."

 

"Yeah, it's dumb."
He laughs

 

Praecantatia nods, smiling.

 

Emerald heads out of the portal, but doesn't actually come back.

Sivius heads through, though.
"...Are you the goddess Praecantatia I was told to seek?"

She giggles.
"Well, you don't have to like it. Your feet don't feel like they're on fire, so it'll work."

 

"Let's just continue. And not think about the vomit thing."

 

"...Thank you." She sighs, looking forward.

"It's a nice day for a climb, though. Just enough clouds to make it not unconfortably hot... for you, at least."

 

"You can deal with the heat, right?"

 

"Yeah, this is a bit cold for my tastes."
