Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

She nods, but her words are drowned out.
"I'll be back tomorrow around noon!" The Leviathan calls.

Anne turns.
"See you then!" She shouts back.

 

"See you tomorrow." He waves.

 

Sapphire is free to leave, guards giving her smiles as she passes them by.


"That's still rather sad. I always thought they'd have a child together, I guess they did..." Praecantatia says.

 

"Scarabs? Hm... I haven't seen one of those in a long time. Then again, cold, half-flooded ruins aren't exactly where you'd find them. Fascinating creatures, don't you think, using the excretion of another animal to feed their young... I... think... I'll stop now..."

 

"I'm going to pretend I didn't hear that."

She heads out, looking for the portal she was told about.


"I really hope I can defend her, if those two get angry..."

Anne sits down.
"Well, we could climb the mountain or look for a cave."

 

A couple of well-armed guards appear to be standing by a portal to Earth, nodding to Sapphire.


"Perhaps it would be better if you stayed out of it. I wouldn't want you to be caught in the crossfire of the combined rage of two gods." Praecantatia warns.

 

She heads through.


"I can't let her be weakened by two other gods while I sit idle! I won't let her be reclaimed by the Hive Master!" She protests, claws flaring up.

 

Sapphire finds herself back on Earth, near to a pond. Sapphire hears someone laughing at her, but it turns out it's just the ducks.


Praecantatia sighs, raising a hand. A light blue bubble forms around Emerald, seeming to silence her from the outside world.

 

Sapphire is swallowed by a puppet, portal lingering.


Emerald struggles, burning most of her energy trying to destroy the bubble - furious.

 

A few leaves are blown into the portal, but not much else.


The bubble seems to be impenetrable, Emerald's efforts only seeming to strengthen it as Praecantatia appears to be contacting someone.

 

Sapphire comes back with Amethyst in hand.


Emerald gives up, desperate as she slumps against the bubble and looks straight at Praecantatia.

 

The guards appear to be expectant of Amethyst.

"We'll take care of her from here." One of the guards says.


The bubble pops as Emerald gives up, Shadow Stephanie entering the room.

"Hey, uh, I know this isn't really my place to ask since I'm a guest here, but you seem to have run out of honey." Shadow Stephanie says, holding up an empty jar of honey.

"Oh, that's fine. I have a few colonies of bees on one of the farther islands, you can collect some from there." Praecantatia says, giving Shadow Stephanie a smile.

"Thanks. I'll probably be leaving with Katie soon too, not sure about Stephanie. We have a feast we're sort of late to, and some beings from hell are going to visit us soon." Shadow Stephanie informs.

"It's been nice having you around. I can see Stephanie has good friends." Praecantatia says happily.

"You're a good mother to her, too." Shadow Stephanie says, smiling as she turns and leaves.

 

Sapphire nods, leading Amethyst towards the guard.


Emerald tries to open a portal back to the Void Palace, overloading herself on the residual magic.

 

The guard gently touches Amethyst to inform her of his presence.


"Don't you want to try and restore your forgotten memories?" Praecantatia asks, not turning around from her computer.

 

She lunges at them, knocking them over before calming down.
"...Good luck with her."


"My past is not worth my mistress' life!" She screams, maddened.

 

The guard's armour appears to protect them from harm. The guard gets back up, keeping touch with Amethyst.

"Does she understand any sort of language?" The guard asks.


"Who will only be in danger if Tenebrae or Lux are informed about their missing child." Praecantatia says calmly, reading a message that seems to have appeared on her screen.

 

"Common tongue and dacori, but she can't speak or hear."


Emerald hesitates, glancing at the monitor.

 

"Can she use a language like braille?" The guard asks.


Emerald can't quite see the entire message or the sender, though it seems to be discussing Tenebrae and Lux's forgotten child.

 

"I don't know."



She hesitates.
"Well... who did you send it to?"

 

"Well...that will complicate things. We'll see what we can do to feed her and take care of her." The guard says, trying to lead Amethyst into the palace.


"Send what to?" Praecantatia asks, typing out another message.
