Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

She smiles.
"Should I wait at the palace gates?"

 

"Are you sure you don't want to explore our palace first?" Lielia asks.

 

"It seems awful similar to the shadow palace. Everything seems fo be laid out identically."

 

"Really? How odd." Solus says, surprised.

 

"The throne room is in the exact same spot and everything."

 

"Would a throne room be anywhere else? I would think citizens would want to easily visit their king and queen, wouldn't they?" Lielia asks.

 

"Few visit. Every guard is well armed, and even more so since they lost a fifth of their army to our common enemy."

 

"You mean the Shadow's royalty?" Solus asks, confused.

 

"Yes, few visit the royalty."

 

"Oh, I see." Solus says.

 

"They're sometimes personally on the front lines. And by sometimes, I mean that's the only time we've had any victories."

 

"They do seem a lot more...brutish." Lielia says.

 

"They're exceptional fighters, though."

 

"Y-Yes, quite. Our previous king and queen were certainly evidence toward that." Solus says, sounding a little mournful.

 

Ali hesitates.
"...I'm sorry that happened."

 

"It's in the past." Solus says, shrugging it off.

 

"Well... I think I'll wait outside. The fresh air is a pleasant contrast from my desert home."

 

"We'll have someone for you to take to your home ready soon enough." Lielia says happily.

 

"Thank you." Ali says, bowing as she leaves.


The royal couple just notice that they feel watched from above.

 

The pair look up, strong light revealing any hidden figures.
