Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"It was a pleasure to meet you, king Solus and queen Lielia." Ali says, bowing. "If you wouldn't mind, I think I would like to stay here for a while... the shadow royalty may have forgotten the feast I prepared for them." She sighs.

"Well, no need. We're here."
The Leviathan stops at the edge of a jagged, rocky shore.

 

"Oh, that's a shame. You're welcome to stay here as long as you desire." Lielia says, smiling.

"Those Shadows can be so rude and inconsiderate sometimes..." Solus says, annoyed.

 

"Please, do not speak of my friends like that. They may not be as formal, but war has torn them to this state. I only hope that war will not touch this realm... again."

 

"Those were dark times, though we have learned from our mistakes and only wish peace upon our people." Solus says, sighing.

 

"I... fear your realm may be sought out. Are you caught up with current events regarding the other reality that has been joined to yours?"

 

"No, I hadn't realized it had been joined at all." Solus says, surprised.

"Our realm is particularly isolated, portals may only be opened by a willing light creature, and they're quite selective of who they allow into our realm." Lielia says.

 

"I am from that reality, and... it's brutal. Families torn apart, children gutted in front of guardians and vice versa, and entire races pushed to extinction or the brink of it... even the high gods are threatened. If they hear of you, they will likely beg to enter the haven you have here."

 

The royal couple look at each other nervously.

"Well...that is...something to consider." Lielia says.

 

"As much as I would love to beg you to be hospitable, there would be too many refugees. I..."
Ali tears up.
"I can't... bring myself to accept the condition my home's in." She says, barely holding herself together.

 

The royal couple seems touched by Ali's tears.

"Well, I'm sure we'll be able see if we can sort a few things out to offer asylum to the most desperate cases." Solus says.

 

"I-I'm sorry to trouble you wish misfortunes that you have nothing to do with you..." She says, seemingly upset with herself. "I had no right to walk in and ask for pity." She sighs.

 

"That does not discredit your plight, however. You cannot help the state of your home world, and there is no shame in asking for help undertaking a task you cannot complete alone." Solus says, a servant running over and offering Ali a hug.

 

She hugs the servant, weary.
"I cannot thank you enough..."

 

The king and queen smile, the servants hug warm and comforting.

 

"Thank you so much... and I apologize for asking for aid. I promise that was not my intention, it just sort of... made me feel empty, how happy everyone is here." She confesses.

 

"We understand. You wish your world was as serene and joyful as ours is, don't you?" Lielia asks.

 

"...Would you mind visiting my home, or sending someone else to? I just wish it was anything like this..."

 

"We shall arrange for that, yes." Solus says, smiling.

 

Ali smiles.
"Thank you... I swear I'll find a way to repay you." She says, calming down.

 

"No repayment necessary." Solus says, waving his hand.
