I can't give comparisons since I've only ever used beastnode, but they were pretty good all things considered.

They offer two server types: premium and budget servers. The budget servers are cheaper (obviously) and give more player slots for a cheaper price, but they also have limited storage (requires a fee to upgrade) and limited support.

Their $29.99/month budget deal gives 100+ player slots and 10 gigs of ram but you're limited to basic tech support.
Their $29.99/month premium deal gives up to 60 players slots and only has 3 gigs of ram, but you can get storage upgrades for free and full tech support.

Their cheapest budget package is $2.99/month with 15 player slots. It would be your best bet for the bungee server if you choose to use it.

All servers fully support plugins, bukkit, spigot, paper spigot, mods, all versions of minecraft, etc.

Support is super quick and you can expect storage upgrades and tech assistance within 24 hours. They also make occasional backups of your server files in case something happens.

Are you sure you are going to be able to have consistently 100 players?
Its going to be a bit pricy if your hosting it long term.
    Unless your going short term?

It is long term, 100 players is just a good cap, 50, or even 25 is probably good

It really depends on for how long you will keep this server up.

You can build your own cheap server PC, although not sure if pros outweigh the cons for you. (internet, noise etc.)
I built my own server for relatively cheap (payed max like $200-$250) but you shouldn't go for this if you want full silence in your room. With my server (with intel stock cooler) it mostly makes blowing noise just from moving air, no real noise from the fan if you could call it that.

I bought a cheap motherboard and intel xeon cpu on ebay which has an insanely good price to performance ratio. Reused an old 300w psu and a 1 tb laptop hard drive. It actually performs really well. I easily ran an ARK:Survival Evolved AND a Feed The Beast server simultaneously with still spare room with RAM and CPU, allowing me to run a Discord music bot as well.

At this point it comes down to how long you want it up for, and power + internet cost is a factor here. I do not know what especially internet costs for you, but if upload and download is above 50mbps I wouldn't worry too much about internet.
Unless you have data cap or something similar.

    Mobo:
    Intel DQ57TM
    CPU:
    Intel Xeon X3430
    Case:
Google "smallest mATX case 2017" and look for a cheap case.

This isn't even necessarily a hosting recommendation, but start with the cheapest package. It's better to start small, then grow as necessary instead of blowing a bunch of money quickly on some expensive flop. Sorry, if being to negative, but that's some good advice i got from some frineds of mine who are small to medium sized server owners.

If you are rather technically inclined you could try just getting some basic server hosting (not specialized) and then setting up a minecraft server on that. More often that not you can get the same specs cheaper just renting a server and making it yourself than buying a package for it.
