Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Just pointing it out. Unless the owner wants me to have Sgavrinn, I'm not taking him."

 

"I was wondering if it was alright if I could take your picture? I have a project on the course I'm studying, and I was told to take pictures of things I found beautiful." The teenager says, smiling, a camera in her hands.

 

She smiles.
"I guess." She shrugs, standing up a bit straighter.

"I'm pretty sure a pet owner who loved their pet would want to keep their pet."

 

The girl takes a few steps back, readying her camera before taking a picture of Ali.

"Thank you! Here, you can see how it turned out." The teenager says happily, turning her camera around to show a well captured picture of Ali.

 

Ali glances at it, smiling again.
"Good luck with your project!" She says, going further inside the palace.

 

The girl waves to Ali as she runs off.

The interior of the palace is the same as the Shadow Palace's, though everywhere appears to be massive as opposed to key areas. A few servants in colourful clothes hurry about, one offering some tea to a forest guardian, who happily accepts it.

 

She relaxes, heading to where she believes the throne room would be.

 

Inside the throne room, a giant king and queen in white sit on golden thrones. Their exact features are hard to tell due to their bodies being white, as opposed to the black of a Shadow's, though they both look rather young.

"Ah, a new visitor! Hello!" The king says happily.

"What brings you to the Realm of Light?" The queen asks, smiling.

 

Ali bows.
"To be honest, I was mostly curious. I intended to only visit, but this place seemed to be so much at peace, that I couldn't help but to let my guard down."

 

"You've got nothing to worry about here. We only wish you the warmest welcome." The king says warmly.

"We must offer you a new cloak, if you'd like to accept it." The queen says.

A servant hurries over, offering Ali a cloak. At first it looks metallic, though on closer inspection it appears to be reflective, giving the images it portrays a rainbow-esce tint; the colours changing as it moves.

"Though we understand if you'd prefer to keep your own cloak. Sentimental value is worth much more than value in currency." The king says kindly.

 

"Thank you for the offer, but I'd like to keep this one. It... is the only reminder I have left of my sister. She vanished a few months ago." Ali sighs.

 

"Oh, that's so sad to hear!" The queen says sympathetically.

"I hope you meet her again soon. Family is special, because it's the only one you'll get." The king says.

 

"Thank you... it's just hard for a chef to go up against a warmonger." Ali says.

 

"If there's anything we can do to help you, just ask. We'd be happy to help any way we can." The queen says, smiling kindly at Ali.

 

"Thank you for the offer, but I don't know if I can accept your aid. The royal shadows fight the same force, and at best they find themselves at a stalemate."

 

"Well, if you ever change your mind, we'll be here." The queen says, smiling.

"Oh, I almost forgot. We must offer you a means of using travel around our palace," The king says, another servant hurrying over to Ali with a light yellow bracelet, "That will allow you to use the lightspeed travel we have to locations around our palace. You wouldn't be able to use it otherwise."

 

"Oh, it's like the Great Destroyer's palace! That's neat." She says, putting it on.
Pause.
"...Has she 'graced' you with her presence, as she would say?"

 

"The...Great Destroyer?" The queen asks, looking uneasily at the king.

"I don't believe we've met any Great Destroyers." The king says.

 

"That's a title that she's been given. Her real name is Xlentia, Goddess of Destruction in another reality. Ironically, she's super nice... just, really self-centered."
Pause.
"If a dragon the size of this palace pays you a visit, it's her."

 

"Pretty sure, yeah."
