Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

The dirty plates are taken and washed, before put to dry.

Eventually the Silver Steed closes for the night, the few customers left leaving and the employees sighing in relief as they head home, only a few staying to work the bedrooms through the night.

 

Ali checks for the employee she spoke to earlier.

 

The waiter Ali spoke to seems to be collecting his jacket and hat, ready to leave.

 

Ali approaches them.
"Hey, thanks. Would you mind taking home a bit of my cooking?"

 

"Sure." The waiter says.

 

She pulls a wrapped bread roll from a bag under her robe.
"Here, it's made with a grain that only grows where I used to live. I hope you like it... and watch out for any hairs, I guess." She whispers, chuckling.

 

"Thanks." The waiter says, smiling before heading out into the night.

 

Ali heads towards the manager's office, nervous.

 

The manager seems to be getting ready to leave too, sorting out a few papers before he does.

 

Ali knocks on his door, nervous.

 

The manager gets up and opens it.

"Ah, hello Ali. I heard you did an excellent job tonight, so take this as an extra bonus from me." The old man says happily, offering twenty gold coins.

 

She shakes her head.
"Thank you, but I don't want it. I made a mess, and I don't want extra for a poor performance."

 

"Poor performance? Everyone said you did great! I even heard a few of the customers were surprised at how fast their food was delivered." The manager says happily.

 

"Yes, but there were also complaints about hairs in their food. That... that was all me."

 

"Ah, it can't be helped. You still did a good job in the end, after all." The manager says, smiling.

 

Ali sighs.
"Thank you, but I insist. I can't take all of it, I only came for a room."

 

"Well, at least take this much," The manager says, putting ten gold coins in Ali's hand, "Your room is the first on the left."

 

Ali takes the coins, putting them in a small pouch.
"...Thanks." She says, heading to her room.

 

Ali's room is medium sized, containing just a bed, a window and a wardrobe with some drawers under it, and a digital safe.

 

Ali keeps her robe on, laying on the bed and quickly dozing off.
