Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

The waiter nods.

 

"So you DO like him?"

"Should I try making my hand glow in the restaurant?"

 

"I think you'd just freak people out that way. They're not like moths, you know." The waiter says.

 

"True... I'll glance around on my way out."
Pause.
"Thanks, by the way."

 

"No problem. I'll leave a bit after you; I was just showing you the wine cellar, alright?" The waiter says.

 

"Yeah. I asked about it, and you said yes."
Pause.
"When you get off shift, please let me know. I want to make up a bit of this mess to you."

 

"Alright." The waiter says, glancing at the racks of wine.

 

Ali glances at their eyes before starting to head up.

 

The waiter's eyes are brown, dark bags under them.

 

Ali waits for them to take the lead on the way out.

 

"Tell them I'm checking the wine. I'll leave after you so it doesn't look suspicious." The waiter says.

 

She nods, heading up.

 

A waitress glances at Ali as she exits, delivering a few dirty plates.

 

She nods at them, glancing at the patrons.

 

A door separates the kitchen and the bar area, though she can see someone ordering a drink through a circular glass window on the door.

 

She looks around to see if the manager is out of his office or not.

 

He still appears to be in his office.

 

She goes back to sweeping for dirty dishes, checking for anyone with particularly blue eyes.

 

Ali finds a few people with blue eyes, but not blue enough to be considered a light creature.

 

She takes any dirty plates to the back.
