Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"That's fine with me. Thank you, sir."
Pause.
"May I leave my staff back here for now?"

"Just this morning."

 

"Yes, if you don't want to carry it around with you." The old man says, smiling.

 

"Oh, okay."
Pause.
"So what is this whole 'present' thing Sgavrinn told me about?"

 

She leans it against the wall.
"Thanks. It's easier to carry more with two hands."

"Present thing? What do you mean?"

 

"Best of luck." The old man says.

 

"Yeah. Something about Sgavrinn being a present that you gave to someone."

 

She nods.
"Who should I talk to in order to get started?"

"Oh, no. I didn't give him to Artemis. He is a gift, though."

 

"Then who is he a gift to then? And who is Artemis?"

 

"I'm sure if you tell one of the other waiters or waitresses I've allowed you to work they'll start you on some work." The old man says.

 

"Artemis is Sgavrinn's new owner. His old one has since died, but before she died, she gave Sgavrinn to a girl named Artemis as a gift."

 

"Wait, so you aren't his owner?"

 

"Okay, thank you."

The old man smiles.

Ali should probably leave his office to start work...

 

"Oh, I see. Thought you were."
Pause
"So who exactly is this Artemis girl?"

 

Ali heads out, looking for a waiter/waitress.

"She's an archer who is something called a forest guardian. She's a kindly person, but just as deadly."

 

There seems to be a waiter waiting for a couple of dishes in the kitchen, glancing at Ali.

 

Ali walks up to her, putting her hood on hastily.
"Excuse me, I just talked to the manager and he said I could work for a night. Could you help me get started?"

 

"Is she also a dragon like you? Can she also go to the spectral plane?"

 

"No and no."

 

"Sure. All you need to do is deliver the right dishes to the right tables, they'll have notes under them to tell you which table to put them on. I'll let you take mine to show you." The waiter says happily, stepping aside as a pair of dishes are put down, notes under them reading '4c' and '2a'
