Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Well... I'm not human." Ali says, taking off her hood.

 

"Okay, got to concentrate more if I want a better view."
*Concentrating*

 

The haze doesn't lift, but you can see spectral outlines of Anne, yourself, and the Leviathan.

 

"Oh, you're one of those people," The old man says, "Don't worry, it's fine with me. I understand people these days do different things than we did when we were young. We all had our yearning for individuality, and if you want to do what you do for that, it's fine by me."

 

"I... I'm not wearing a costume." She says, offering her other hand. "If it was a costume, you could take the glove off. Please, see for yourself."

 

The old man, slightly skeptical, tugs at Ali's hand.

 

It feels like furred skin, no give as Ali's arm straightens a bit.

 

"Am I seeing the normal world? Okay this is weird."
Pause.
"I was on the Leviathan, fell asleep and started dreaming. Then I fell asleep again and am back on the Leviathan again?!"

 

Ragnyon's spirit taps your spectral shoulder.
"Hey, you found the way here! You never told me you knew how to visit the spectral plane!"

 

"Well...that's...different." The old man says, surprised.

 

"Uh.. ofcourse I know. I know exectly what I'm doing." He says with a sarcastic voice.

 

"My people are called Anubi, due to our supposed resemblance to the god." She explains.

"...Well, you made it anyways."

 

"Did you...come from a desert tomb?" The old man asks.

 

"So, I'm in the spectral plane. What do I do now and why are you here?"

 

"Not a tomb, no."

"You can leave whenever by touching your physical body. As for what you can do... travel anywhere. Many won't see you, and you can freely talk to spirits."

 

"Hm...well, I guess I've seen stranger things in my lifetime." The old man says.

 

"So why are you here? I assume your physical body isn't anywhere near here."

 

"I'll wear my hood over my face to avoid scaring other people, but... I just wanted to be honest with you."
Pause.
"Do you need me as a cook or a waitress? I'm used to doing both."

"I was keeping watch over you. Sgavrinn really likes you, you know? You understand him really well. I figure I'd stick around to make sure you didn't get hurt too badly so he could see you again."

 

"A waitress would be fine for now, just expect people to think...you're in a costume." The old man says.

 

"For how long have you been following me? That's a bit strange to do without telling me."
