Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"A...creature of light?" The person asks, "You mean like an animal shaped lightbulb or something?"

 

Ali shakes her head.
"If you don't know, then you don't know. I'm sorry to trouble you." She says, turning away and moving on.
She leaves pawprints as she walks.

 

The person looks at the pawprints, confused.

"Are...you ok, miss?" The person asks.

 

"I don't have anywhere to stay for the night, nor do I have any money, but until then, I believe I am fine."

Her hand on her staff is furred.

 

"Oh...you're one of those people. I see. Well, have a good day." The person says, walking off.

 

"...Oh, no. I'm just not human. May the sun shine upon your family." She says, continuing on.

 

The village doesn't appear to have many people in it, though it may be due to the fact dark clouds have begun to cover the sun. Ali finds herself outside of a butchers and bakery, various cakes and confectionaries on display on one side, succulent meats and roasts on the other.

 

She looks for an inn, gathering a small ball of light in one hand.

 

Ali manages to find one just before it begins to rain, going by the name of 'The Silver Steed'.

Inside the inn feels warm, smells of food and alcohol wafting from a bar as people chat, an area with multiple tables and chairs occupied by people eating dishes of food.

 

Before entering, she brings the ball of light to her staff crystal, hoping to use magic to part the clouds around the village.

Upon entering, she lowers her head a bit to make her hood cover more of her face, looking for a front desk.

 

There doesn't seem to be a front desk, though the bar appears to have a till, people paying for their food and drink there.

 

She goes up to the till.
"Excuse me, are there any rooms available for the night?"
She glances outside to see if her spell worked or failed.

 

Bardock smells the flower.
*sniff sniff*

 

It smells pleasant, like something between lavender and roses but stronger. However, from prior experience you know it's deadly.

 

"It smells nice. You want to smell too, Sgavrinn?"
He holds the flower in Sgavrinn's direction.

 

He sniffs it, then grows another and smells it too.

 

"Yes, a night's stay is 12 gold." The person says.

It still seems to be raining outside.

 

She sighs.
"Ah, I... okay. Thank you for letting me know."
Ali hesitates.
"...Is there a way I could work a few hours to pay for the room? I never carry any money with me ever since I left home."

 

"It smells good, doesn't it?"
He sniffs the flower.
"So.. funny question. Can I have a dream in a dream?"

 

Sgavrinn looks at you confused, tilting his head to the side.
