Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

He shakes his head, drawing a cloud on the ground and then laying next to it and pretending to sleep.

Dreaming.
You're dreaming about Sgavrinn again.
That doesn't answer why...

Emerald heads back to her room, keeping quiet.

 

Her room is still, and Emerald can hear the faint sound of wind chimes coming from her window.

 

She sits on her bed, just looking at the view out of her window.

 

"I know I'm dreaming. But why do I always meet you in my dreams?"

 

Emerald has a view of the sky and the forest, a squirrel just visible running across the clearing around the massive tree and out of Emerald's range of sight. Robotic golems walk about seemingly mindlessly, some wandering into the forest while others out. One reaches down and plucks a flower from the ground, holding it up to it's eyes before walking onward.

 

He shrugs, growing a poison flower off to the side.

She smiles, continuing to watch.


Ali approaches the shadow palace gates, hooded as per usual.
"Excuse me... but I heard there may be a realm of light? By any chance would you know how I might be able to get there?" She asks the guards, less nervous than before.

 

He looks at the flower.
"Should I.. pluck it?"
He looks confused at Sgavrinn.

 

Time seems to pass slowly as Emerald watches, the scene serene.


"I'd say your best bet would be to find a light creature, though they seldom leave their own realm." The guard informs.

 

He shrugs.

She doesn't mind, unmoving.


"Where might I find one?"

 

"Earth, if you're lucky." The guard says.

 

"It's just a dream, so nothing could happen right?"
He plucks the flower.

 

"I'll look, thanks."
Pause.
"...May I go to the portal room, please?"

Sgavrinn shakes his head, humming and nuzzling you.

 

"Do you have permission from the King to use it?" The guard asks.

 

"I'm not sure. Could I request permission?"
Pause.
"Also, his feast is still waiting in the mess hall... it may be getting a bit cold."

 

"Oh, you're the one who organized the feast for the King?" The guard asks, "Sure, you can use the portal room."

 

"Yes, I spent the morning preparing it. I didn't know he was this busy." She says, bowing. "Would you mind giving me directions to the portal room?"

 

"You can use the books in the elevators to get there, it should have the dial combination for the portal room in it," The guard says, "The king has been...preoccupied, as of late."

 

"Oh... Okay, thank you so much. Have a nice day." She says, heading inside and looking for an elevator.

 

There seems to be an elevator just down the left hallway, what looks like a forest guardian with spiked hair leaving it.

 

Still cloaked, Ali heads inside it and looks for the book.
