Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"I'm trying!"

Suddenly, there's an image of Ruby holding Emerald in spectral chains, torn books around her.

"...Not again...!" She growls.

 

"How long ago was this memory?" Praecantatia asks.

 

"Two hundred and forty seven thousand years. Approximately."

 

"Is this near to when your amnesia struck? We might be able to see your forgotten memories if so." Praecantatia says.

 

"Yeah... I fall unconscious here."

 

"Well, keep trying to remember. Perhaps your consciousness falls here, but your eyes still see, your mind still processes information." Praecantatia says.

 

"I'm trying..."

The vision shows Emerald in a metal chamber, and everything's dark before it opens, Ruby waiting outside.
"You made it, sister. We're on track to freedom." She says happily. "Come on, we can make it. Four more. We got this."

 

Praecantatia watches, curious, everything Emerald sees and remembers output onto the previously black UI.

 

"We can't get Peridot, and Amethyst is useless to us. Can you locate Sapphire?"
"No. That means we're going after Tourmaline first."
"Right. I'll locate her, you rest up. We'll both need to be at strength to... convince her to join us."

 

Praecantatia notes down the dialogue in a text document, intrigued.

 

The memory is fuzzy, mostly skipping until the two are together again.
"Pin her?"
"Yeah. Maralune. Do you have the setup?"
"Of course. Seal the realm. We don't need a shadow slipping through our claws."
Ruby nods, then leaves.

Emerald summons her wall of tomes, priming hundreds of lethal spells. Most involve imploding organs and then shattering the fabric of space and distorting time nearby... among other brutal things.

 

"Do you remember this?" Praecantatia asks as she watches.

 

"...Yes."

 

"How soon do you stop remembering?" Praecantatia asks.

 

"Ugh.. Maybe if I do that, time will pass by faster."

 

"We'll find out soon."

Emerald opens a portal to a densely forested world, a lone castle standing on the side of a cliff in a beautiful world.
...she turns towards a chemical bomb that's being brought up to the portal.

Praecantatia watches, invested.

 

"Yep. Might as well."
He lays down on the Leviathan's back

 

A few other draconians haul up the bomb, dropping it onto the world as a blast releases a purple fog, quickly withering all plant life it touches as it rapidly spreads across the lower parts of the world.

Within minutes, the lush world becomes desolate.

Anne curls up on your chest.

 

Praecantatia starts writing some notes about the scene on her text document as she watches.
