"That's why I figured we'd travel today. Worst case scenario, we drop you at the volcano and leave you until morning."

"...Who's she? Goddess of what?"

 

"Darkness. My goddess." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

"So... like, Xlentia?"

 

"You want to travel while I have a change of transforming? What if I transform while we're on the Leviathan?"

 

"Yeah, but a giant Shadow as opposed to a giant dragon." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

"Do they know each other?"

"You won't hurt the Leviathan."

 

"Yeah, but I might attack you if you come along."

 

"Yeah, I think their meeting was the reason any of the gods found out about your reality and traveled into it." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

"Don't worry about me."

"Huh. That's strange."

 

"How so?" Shadow Stephanie asks.

 

"I feel like I'd know if she met with them, or if they came over."

 

"Have you forgotten you've got amnesia?" Shadow Stephanie asks.

Katie laughs, amused.

 

"...They met recently, then."

 

"Okay. Just don't get hurt."

 

"It was more like a few months ago." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

"I won't, promise."
